Am going to risk it... hopefully this hasn't been posted before. Obviously very old, but may be of use to potential new owners.

Saw it on Dave the other night, found it on YouTube: Jason Plato test drives the then new Z4 MR...

Not sure about the gearbox / clutch comments, otherwise

Remember that when it first came out, always remember it because I thought it funny the gear lever would fall off. It never did, until the last month, when it's come off twice after some 2nd gear sideways action.

Been on a few times, but its actually quite a good review and well worth watching again.

Andy, have you got the standard knob?

I like the Best Motoring race/comparisons (in Japanese unfortunately).

Here's the one between the e86 Z4MC, 350Z, S2000 and Cayman.

Here's one between the E89 Z4, Boxster, Cayman, Carrera S and 370Z.

Yep, it then takes me 30 seconds of trying to shove the cable back into the gaiter whilst trying to drive before I can carry on at pace.

It's only when I lose the back end deliberately though, it seems I must grip it  :driving:

So Andy, every time you loose your back end your knob comes off in your hand? Did I get that right :)

and the top gear one...

The E89 can't hang!!!

E89 is more SLK now though... it's not gonna compare to those kinda cars on a track.

On the road though it'd easily be the nicest to drive on a long trip with the roof down, but with not much luggage  :P

like the £20 on the windscreen trick, will try that with 1 of my mates, a £5 though to be on the safe side lol
