I am pretty sure this car has been commented on before regarding the wrap and the quality of the paintwork underneath, but as the ad says, if it all checks out this is a cheap car!

i would be tempted !

That is tempting and the only way I stop myself is by telling myself it'll be cheaper in a years time.

The company the guys used to wrap the car are well known, so I personally wouldn't have any issue with it and the report they'd provide, etc.

the car was sepang bronze before it was wrapped. AKA poo brown or Mr bean colour

also the advertised price is what he's been quoted from the trade. He's looking for someone to come in with a higher offer:

Going to to the trade at this price but if anyone can beat please call.

Am I alone in actually thinking that colour is nice? :tumbleweed:

Not at all Playalistic; I'll +1 that. I think that colour looks gorgeous. Seen it on one Zed and a couple of 5's in the past. Lovely.

perhaps this is the dealer telling him this isnt a popular engine size and as such hard to trade on  should have gone for sensible 2.0 sport lol :poke:

+2, I love it too. Still wouldn't be my first choice in a Z4M though.

ive only seen that colour on a 5 series and i wasnt sure whether i liked it or not, maybe looks better on a smaller car such as the Z4MC....if my car was sold (not that its even up for sale 'yet'?) i would be very tempted........

on the plus side its a different colour i suppose, as autotrader and pistonheads seems to be full of the interlagos blue cars for sale.

I "almost" ordered that colour when new, what changed my mind was that another dealer in Devon had that colour in the showroom and had not been able to shift it for about 3 months.

It was a straight commercial decision at the time rather then like / dislike, just like the dealer offered me £1k more off a new car if I chose one of the many Interlagos ones that were in the system / country / boat at that time.

So it seems the prices for M are dropping and 2006 models are around 15-17k mark. interesting to see what happens in the next 2 yrs, will they firm up and stay there or keep dropping. i see 3.0si prices are similar to M now.

When i bought my car in january this year the MR's were runnning in at around the same price as 3.0si... i nearely bought a 07 reg MR - with 30k miles which was actually less then mine - but alas it was too basic with no heated seats or nav,

I also like sepang... not my first choice (which would be imola).. but i think i would choose that over silver.

Guys, calm down.:punish: The guys just put a low advertised price to gain interest. He's looking for more than that.

i like the colour too.

offer him a couple of hundred more and it's yours??

Would it cause issues on ANPR when the computer says "brown" and the car is white?

Surely thats an added selling point.. get caught on camera for speeding/ stealing petrol.. you can say thats not my car

I love Sepang - if you haven't seen it in the flesh you should prepare to be very surprised.

You could get stopped, but easy to prove it's just a wrap...

DVLA

The DVLA should only be contacted should the car be a permanent colour change. As vehicle wraps are temporary there is no need to advise them of your wrap.

Police

As part of the police's vehicle database, your car registration is linked to the make, model and colour of your vehicle. If the police do a registration number check they may stop you and ask questions regarding the colour. It is very easy to demonstrate that the vinyl is temporary and not the true colour - simply lift your bonnet or your door shuts (if not wrapped).
