Morning all,

I've been on the lookout for my first M for a little while so figured it might be best to put up a wanted note.

I'm looking for a coupe in either Blue (Interlagos), Imola or Black (anything other than Sliver or White really!) - Sepang would be lovely but I cant imagine one will crop up!

I think the only thing I am really set on is a light interior - I really thing Champagne leather sets the car off nicely.

Spec wise the more toys the better really but that wont be a deal breaker, however from what I've read Xenons are a must?

I don't mind if the car has some light modifications (CSL's etc)

I want something that has been looked after more than anything.

I'm aiming to be in one by April so if you are thinking of selling then maybe drop me a message.

Morning Michael, I think that Inkey$ has just the ///M that you're looking for, Interlagos with Champagne, not too sure if he's still selling though, I'm sure he'll confirm :thumbsup:

Hi Darren,

Yes I had seen that, I did hope to give him a call and view over christmas but other things popped up - but saying that I dont think he really wants to sell does he :D


I should add the one issue for me at the moment is I currently reside in Austria! So viewing is a pain for me!

I may be selling mine soon due to a new house purchase today. Monaco blue Z4MC. Champagne extended leather interior. Sat nav and DSP. Currently on 21000 miles with FSH. If I do decide to sell it will be going up for around 17k if you're interested?

Looks tidy. Another IR/Alu dash combo like Woody's.

My only quibble is that it was described as a) with every extra when it hasn't and b) exterior bodywork described as showroom condition but maybe one or two stone chips on close inspection. I know I'm being pernickety but it can't be showroom condition if it's stone chipped can it?

Other than that looks good and competitively priced as he obviously wants to get rid.

That is a gripe of mine as well and whilst I understand people are trying to sell their cars, I believe an honest up front approach will work best. If somebody is sensationalising/ lying about some aspects of the car I instantly become suspicious.

The car in the Pistonheads advert is mine and I do take on board your comments, particularly regarding the "every extra" comment as it doesn't have cruise control. I was simply trying to draw attention to the fact it has, in my opinion, the desirable extras but I shall amend the advert having read the feedback.

The comments that insinuate that I am not upfront and honest I feel are a little harsh. I stand by my comment of "showroom condition". This is a 6 year old car, however it would grace any showroom in its current condition. I think it's fair to assume any car that has turned a wheel will likely have a stone chip or 2 but they genuinely or should I say 'up front and honestly' are the only marks to speak of.

I do appreciate your comments though, and I suppose any comments on a Z4 forum are welcome advertising :-)
 
Stuart, my comments aren't meant as a direct attack, but in reality when buying a car privately all buyers will try to establish whether they feel the seller is trustworthy.

You have, what looks to be, a very nice car for sale (and if I was looking I'd definitely be giving you a call), but exaggerating the truth/ sensationalising your car will only raise suspicion imo.

Personally, looking at the ad, if I saw that a seller was being liberal with truth I'd start to wonder what else wasn't as it seemed.
