Z4MC - M3 CSL

I'd love to drive a CSL as I just can't get what's so amazing about them (for the money involved.) Cars that cost the same as a CSL here inclue Ferrari 360s, low end Nissan GTRs, Lower end v8 vantages, porsche GT3's (996), with M5's and M6's costing significantly less

I know there is only a handful in Aus, so you will do well to see one there. (I do know a chap who has a 1200 mile car in his garage in Sydney though)

Hard to qunatify, but it's greater than the sum of it's parts.....basically a 3 series has no right to be that good. I think it represents a good moment in time with sensible balance of power to grip to driving involvement.....a lot of newer cars are much faster, but simply not as enjoyable.

Surely a DB9 is in just the same league as the R8 though

Yeh Except Tulisa and Helen Flanagan don't drive DB9's.........James Bond does though 8) :driving:

Nope ....... he drives DB5s, Vanquish, DBS even a V8 Vantage Volante but never a DB9 ......... the DB9 is too Premiership footballer for Commander Bond :P

Ha, good point....although the site does say that a DB9 (Albeit modified), was used in Casino Royale as the DBS wasn't yet finished.....maybe that is too tenuous of a link to save face :D
