Hi Guys, if anyone has one knocking about in their garage, i am looking to buy ASAP as BMW genuine want ££££.

I am running a RPI back box which sounded great until the resonator baffles started to break up on the x-pipe need to replace this, any suggestions?

Any advice is always appreciated. :D

You could delete it for a cross pipe? Mine was removed when I had a through system fitted by Longlife Exhausts. They chopped it to get the correct line up at the cats but I keep it in case I return the car to stock sometime in the future.

What's the problem? I would have thought the RPI is so loud any rattles/buzzing wouldn't be noticeable! :)

Cheers will look into that, yes the RPI is loud very loud infact, but the whole sound has changed, sounded Epic before need to get it back to how it was! :D

in my whole years of owning this car (since 07) this is the first ever instance of the stock xpipe failing ive ever heard of......... are you sure their isnt a leak in the system somewhere??? im sure it happens but their isnt really anything in their to fail unless its full of condensation most of its life from lack of use, or short usage regularly which could corrode the internals i guess.....

Thanks bee dub, I am getting a second opion tomorrow and I will be there when the car is looked at....something is not right though, it does sound like it's blowing from the centre of the car. :(
Let you know the outcome.

how are you finding the longlife system,I am very tempted as they have a centre near me?

Longlife system been fine, deep burble, bit of drone at certain revs but they all do that! No complaints really, but if I was doing it again I'd have just bought a system from Hayward and Scott I think.

The H&S system's are epic. :)

I still have my factory X-pipe which I could be tempted to sell on to clear some space from when my H&S went on (I can't see me returning to standard now!). Let me know if you still need one...
