Z4MC buyer in NW

Hi all,

Been lurking on here for a month or so, viewed 3 cars this weekend, all at main dealers. Does anyone on here know about the black car at Williams Rochdale? The miles are a bit high for me at 45k, but it's in good condition.

The 10k miles car at William's Manchester (grey) is as you would imagine, like new, but nearly £25k which might not be overpriced given it's almost the last of the line and has so few miles. The interlagos one is quite stone chipped and seems overpriced.

If anyone has any info or thoughts on the prices of the above then please let me know.

I'm selling my Z3MR, silver, 50k miles, and very good condition. Love the S50 engine, looking forward to getting a Z4MC with the S54.

Cheers, Ian

I think the rule is to buy on condition, rather than mileage.

At least with a higher mileage car you'd assume anything major that was going to go wrong either has (and been fixed), or hasn't and probably never will.

If the high(er) mileage one ticks all the boxes, and is value for money, then I'd go for that over a more expensive newer one as you'll lose less on depreciation over the next couple of years.

thanks for the info mmm-5.

The black one is exactly what I want spec wise, but a bit high on miles and would prefer one a bit newer. Another niggle is that it needs an inspection 2 in 4800 miles. If it was 4k miles, BMW would do the service as part of their AUC scheme!! Do I stand any chance of getting this service included? Should I do an 801 mile test drive?

Also, should I factor into the asking price the CSL's and new tyres? (it's a main dealer,so I don't fancy being too generous and they are 'non-standard' wheels!)

Cheers, Ian

how many miles a year will you do? if you will only do low mileage i would opt for the higher mileage 1

where in north west are you?

Hi,

I live just on outskirts of Liverpool, near Ormskirk. I have been doing 35k miles a year, but waiting to hear about a new job which would take my miles down to 10-12k a year.

Been to see the Rochdale car twice now, the missus called it the batmobile! They do look stunning with CSL's.

Hoping to find out about the new job tomorrow, if I get it then with the reduction in miles I can buy the Z4. Fingers crossed.

Cheers, Ian
