Z4M wheels

Guys,

Another wheels thread. I'm currently selling my standard wheels and am getting a few questions coming in. Can you offer any guidance as per the below:

1. Do these wheels fit on any other BMWs (including non Ms) I thought yes I'm sure I have seen these on non M Z4s and on a 5 door 1 series.

2. If I were to sell the wheels and what could I realistically expect to get for 2 well kept front Continentals with 6mm of tread left.

3.. What are the dimensions, e.g. ET front and rear etc

Appreciate any feedback

Thanks

Thanks Ian, appreciate the response.

I am being told that they don't fit other BMWS but that is good news. I take it you didn't need to modify anything?

Taken from this website http://www.carbibles.com/tyre_bible_pg2.html

Based on the 18" Ellipsoids:

"The edge of the new tyre will be 20mm further away from the inside of the wheel well and suspension components, and 20mm further out from the edge of the bodywork".

Didn't have to modify anything at all, just bolted them straight on. Only issue I had was not being able to find the locking wheel nut key! :headbang:

I am surprised - I thought you needed spacers at the rear to be able to fit the M wheels on a non-M.

Ok - found the thread - think you only need that if you have the standard OEM M tyres on there to avoid the rubbing.

Cool, thats good means I can sell my wheels to a wider audience.

I would have thought you required spacers on the front to even out the changes to rear.

My wheels have the same size tyres as fitted to the M. Basically the wheels came off the M coupe and onto mine having only covered 1000 or so miles.

Ok - I thought reading Jackb1's post that he referred to it rubbing when using OEM tyres?

yeah, here: http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=8634&p=131925#p131925

I guess it may depend on the suspension set up a car is running. Mine is standard and has no issues, if someone else is running a lower set up then it may rub? Only speculation as from personal experience I can only comment on mine.

Should also say we've had a few trips in the car, boot fully loaded with luggage, mrs in the passenger seat (not that she weighs much) and still no issues.

Maybe fellow forum members can shed some more light on this. :)
