Z4m Wheels tyre size

Just wondering what people have done regarding tyre size on Z4m rims when fitted to a 3.0i
The rims currently have 255/45/18 and 225/40/18 as fitted to the M, but was thinking of going to the lower profile as fitted to the original 3.0i 18s
All 4 tyres need replacing, so need to decide soon.

You should keep the profiles the same as your original wheels so the rolling radius remains the same and subsequently the speedometer will remain constant.

I (and others) use standard 3.0i size tyres on Z4M rims. This prevents arch rubbing at acute angles.

Your garage will find it a little tight when putting them on, but it's easily do-able (I've had two different ones do it so far).

Im changing mine to the standard sizes, as get rubbing on the front. So the fronts are 225/45 and will be 225/40. Rears are 255/40 and will be 255/35's. So should reduce rubbing, but love the conti tyres though

Camkill were £109 for the fronts when I looked. Not that bad really, but Falken FK452 were only 62 quid ish. So torn as both good Tyres for daily use. But the contis do give that bit more when pushed hard, where as the falkens tend to give up a tad.

Lots to choose from though, and everyone has there own preference :D

Anybody know which version of continental to go for? as there seems to be a few versions, ie sport contact 2, 3, and 5, although 5 seems to be Mercedes fittment only.
