Watch out if they come with tyres as 'plain' and M have different profiles - offset and rear wheel width different too so rears pushed outwards on rear arch.
Buy regular Z4 tyres with Z4M wheels on a non-M car. Was fine with my old 3.0 for over 2 years. Your tyre fitter might comment on them being a bit tight, but it was fine for me across 2/3 sets of tyres. No rubbing that way.

Thanks for the info gents, I wouldn't have thought about swapping the tyres. I knew saying "plain" would get someone going. Lucky I didn't mention the lack of a "proper" roof!
z4m has
front: 8x18 et 42 wheels and 225/45/18 tires
back: 9x18 et 35 wheels and 255/40/18 tires
z4 in sport version has
front: 8x18 et 45 and 225/40/18 tires
back: 8,5x18 dont remember the ET, but somewhere around 40 and 255/35/18 tires
If you put z4m wheeels (type 224) to non-M z4 and use tuires from z4 sport 225/40 and 255/35 tires it'll fit like a glove
I have this combination - offset of the back wheels looks stuning and,, if you have correct vcamber settings, nothing will rub
