Z4M wheels for my 3.0i

I have replaced my 103's (possibly up for sale shortly if anyone's interested ) with the standard M wheels- I owe thanks to TOM14S and JackB1 who posted very helpful write-ups and pics on their experiences of this move!

While I'm in Oscar speech mode, a massive thanks to David (dgm) who proved there are trustworthy people left on Earth after not running away with my money and sending me wheels he had expended LOTS of time and effort to prepare and package- much appreciated!

For anyone thinking of putting M wheels on their non-M Zed and concerned on the fit, here's how the rear looks under the arch:


The ride is improved over the Runflats even though the tyres are lower profile (I think) and wheels are bigger, and I am yet to feel any rubbing- very VERY happy with them

They look superb, they suit your car even better than they suit the Z4M to be honest!

So are they Z4M tyre sizes too?

Will the speedo under-read if so!? Not done my maths on them, but they look 'fatter' than normal Z4 18" tyres...


Look good though, I watched a few sets go on eBay and was very tempted over my 107's that I finally bought... good work

I believe they are on their original tyres, so I think you're right Mr Whippy in saying they are a little fatter. When it comes time to replace them I might go a size down, not really looked in to that as yet but I think the next size down is the regular Zed 18" size, Falken territory!

I figured the speedo might be out slightly, if anyone can quantify for me how much and which way then that would be a big help!

It looks great. Are they also 18" wheels? Will tyres on 108's fit ///M wheels?

Our 225/40R18 and 255/35R18 tyres will fit on them ok Ksher, the M wheels are just 1/2" wider at each end, so the walls of the tyres get pulled out a bit more but not by anything crazy (still well within normal ranges for the tyre/wheel widths)

It's lookings kinda familiar! ...So long as you don't park too close to me and you don't change your orange indicators to clear we won't have any problems.

Don't know why but the standard M wheels do nothing for me. Theres a plain aspect to them that just leaves me a bit cold.

Improvement over your previous 103 wheels though

Already decided after seeing TOM14S's car that if I change my alloys, it'll be to Z4M wheels. Pretty sure I'd need the stock non-M Z4 tyre sizes if I were to combine them with my 15mm drop on the Eibachs though...
