z4m wheels and tires on a non z4m

I got around to fitting my z4m wheels onto my z4 today. It took a while as the wheels were stuck on and they needed a fair bit of persuading... So i wirebrushed the rust off and gave the hubs a clean up and a coat of black hammerite

So they do fit - and they do look pretty good

BUT

When I got the wheels, they came with z4m tires too, which have a slightly larger profile

The increased profile tires DO rub on the wheel arch when driving quickly over a bumpy road. Too much for my liking too.

There were a number of people on this forum that thought they would fit, has anyone fitted the z4m wheels and tires and are you experiencing any rubbing over bumps?

it feels like the back tires are the problem, they are Continentals.

any ideas anyone?

yep - that was an inconclusive link - theres a few like that, I posted the question at the time and a few folk said they would fit and wouldnt rub - maybe its a tire brand issue

for those of you that run 255.40.18 tires with no rubbing, what brand are you running?
