z4m , whats the actual weight??

dvlxkvU.jpg

That's with rollbar, rear and front Stb (back one is heavy) big battery in the boot, (11lbs one on the way) and door cards in place. Lol  and full fuel. so half tank would be minus 27.5 kgs.

Note the rear right will come down by 7kgs for the batt, with the fuel at 1/2 tank which will pretty much put it in 50/50.

Pretty darn happy with that.

No ballast for a driver I presume? That’s pretty good anyway, although you’re over estimating the density of petrol (half a tank weighs less than 20kg).

Mine came in at 1475kg on the corner weight scales with 3/4 tank and 80kg in the drivers seat, that seems too light though?

Just having mine corner weighted now... With 80kg ballast in driver's seat and 3/4 tank like you I'm down to 1448. So 1368kg with no driver.
Still an easy 15 kg to lose with swapping out my standard passenger seat for a bucket which I'm going to do at some point.

Good results! I think buckets are next on my hit list, will probably drop a few kg and end up similar to yours 8)

How did it drive after the corner weighting?

@vanne is that with the drivers weight included? That's one seriously impressive diet!

Yeah for sure bucket's are easy weight, but perhaps not as much as you think once you start including the side mounts and particularly if you are using runners. My actual seat weighs 6kg, but once you chuck all the steel in I'd say it might be double that.
I haven't really had a chance to drive the car properly since bolting in the Kws a few weeks ago, alignment is now back to where it should be and I'm off to combe this weekend to see what's what. I have a good target time of 1:15.6 set there in what looks to be similar conditions in october last year, will be interesting to see how it goes. I imagine I'll spend most the day faffing around with the adjusters though!
I think vanne's weight is sans driver,as a 1310kg one of these would be pretty tricky, more so with a full weight battery. He has some added weight too from the wing and extra oil cooler so that figure is pretty good I'd say. My battery weighs 1.5kg for comparison!

There’s a regulated weighbridge two mins down the road from me, so for £10 I thought what the hell...

Apparently the lightest thing they have weighed in a while :D, but it still felt relatively portly to me, at 1440kg.

That’s with no driver, 15 litres (ish) of fuel and however much mud I picked up on the way during a festive hoon.

I take it your coupe is pretty standard?

Relatively, yeah. The front brakes, suspension and CSLs have removed just under 10kg.

It’s also flimper spec with the Superleggera radio.

Wish mine was flimper spec. The sat Nav on the E8x's is just useless ballast.

Had corner weighting done again last week, seems i've shed a few kg (well the car has at least).
1/4 tank, 75kg driver ballast

That makes for a pretty useful bump in hp/tonne 8)

Have you changed the final drive or is it still standard?

That’s within 5kg of what mine weighed with most of a tank of fuel but no driver.
It's not bad is it to be so low 1300s with a fairly useable car (at least imo!). Still has the front half of the interior and ac, albeit no airbags or sound system. Then you've got the tilletts, the bulkhead removal, li battery, wheels... offset of course by the cage and the pretty heavy front discs (368x36mm)

Standard, but it nips along pretty well these days. I want to get a 4.1 in it, yes, makes a lot more sense for the usage. But I also want a drexler, so I'm waiting to do it all at once which I can't really quite justify at the moment.. Car felt pretty great at Goodwood on monday so I'd rather spend the resources on more trackdays tbh!

I’ll bet it nips along!

A diff will no doubt be a nice upgrade when the time comes but given how well yours probably goes, I can’t say I’d be in any rush to do it. Might as well flog the standard setup until it groans!

This is mine with half a tank and me in (75kg).

CSL wheels, no heavy options (el.seats, satnav etc) just the light ones (cruise, seatheat, PDC etc).

Just had mine corner weighted if anyone is following this thread still!

Tillett carbon buckets and harnesses, apex ec7 alloys, ap racing brakes with alloy bells, but otherwise full interior. Full tank of fuel and an 80kg driver came in at 1520kg. So empty tank and no driver is what 1390kg. Not terrible, seems within the right ballpark compared to others posting here, but I'm still surprised at how lardy the Z4M is generally - 1390 empty of fuel and sans driver is fairly bloody heavy!

mine came in at 1385 with half a tank of fuel no driver.... the new carbon shell seats finally dipped me under the 1400s, i agree tho its a heavy little sucker, the iron block and steel panels.. the trunk lid on the roadster is insanely heavy , easily 40kg plus. i'm trying to get a company to make me a carbon one.

****disclaimer, this may not be the most accurate measurement as i go to the local weighbridge at the TIP, LOL!!!

 well your figure seems to be in the right ballpark anyway, iirc the roadie is supposed to be a bit lighter than the coupe? The fact yours with similar seats brakes and so on is probably about 25kg lighter than mine seems to be about right!

Either way though as you say, with the iron block and so on they aren't lightweights that's for sure!

You got anther trackday booked yet?

The trunk lid is listed as 9KG bare. Is it really that much heavier with all the gubins?
