In fact it was on here, this thread and posted by mjennings23. You’d need to ask him his source.

I know this refers to the States but further claims as to PS4S 18” availability on this:

Cheers buddy. Hopefully they go on sale as I’m looking to put my summer wheels on in March and need a new set of tyres. Can’t wait to get of these tramlining Bridgestones: https://instagram.com/p/Be2STFjl9YM/

I had reached out last May (when I bought my Z4MR) to a contact at Michelin HQ in the US (I live near there) and they'd told me the PS4S in 18-inch would be available in January 2018. Needing new tires at the time I'd bought something else but I'll try to contact him again.

Edited: the chart at https://www.michelinman.com/US/en/tires/sizes.html says they're available now, but that my mean US only for now.

Thanks but that site needs a us zip code to work. I can’t be bothered to look up our DC office. I asked a question of the us help but got nowhere, again. Seems Michelin us and uk are both dire!

My choice order is
MPS4s
MPSS
MPS4

In 18....

225/45 ZR18 (95Y) XL
255/40 ZR18 (99Y) XL

I tried to order some super sports yesterday - they are on 2 month backorder so called Michelin who confirmed they are discontinued. The super sports are replaced by the pilot sport 4 S which they don't do in 18".

Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres it will be then!

I am looking at replacing my tyres all round with Micheline PS4 on the standard Z4M 18" alloys. Where are you guys in the UK sourcing them from and how much have they been? So far be only checked the blackcircles page.
Thanks in advanced for your comments

I don’t think you’ll beat the Blackcircles price at the moment, the £50 off four Michelins offer undercuts the opposition. Compare their prices with Camskill or Oponeo who I normally find to offer the best prices.

And blackcircles it was!

Can anyone tell me the correct load/speed rating for a Z4MC?

Current rears are Y speed rated and 95 load, front are W speed rated and 91 load (Pirelli PZero)

On the Michelin site they say for the PS4 use 99Y rear and 95Y front, but blackcircles only list a 91W front.
For the PSS Mich say use 95Y front and rear, as also listed by BC.

Is there much difference in the real world?

Paul

Devon Paul, if you pick the PS4 in extra load (xl)figment you will be able to pick 95 front 99 rear. I’m waiting on a set for my z4m to be fitted last Friday but the fronts were delayed in shipping from Michelin -fingers crossed for this Friday coming.

Thanks - sorted it now.

BC website doesn't currently show an XL 95Y front, only a 91W. I wonder if that's related to your delay and they've removed the option whilst out of stock?

Protyre (who fit for BC down here) do list PS4s in 95F 99R available from Thursday. However they don't list the 99 rated SS rear. There's only a pound per corner different anyway.

The guy was very apologetic, suggested that Michelin uk are quoting June for stock on the fronts 225/45/18 in 95 xl rating hence tapping into Michelin Europe’s stock and the delay. I dabbled with getting super sports but stock was again an issue and for a road car the PS4 may be the more suitable tyre.

Anything must be better than worn and old ContiSportContact m3s?

PS4 Tyres now fitted, car feels good with a slightly more plush ride quality compared to aged ContiSportContact m3s - feels like your seat has a bit of extra padding. May also be a little quieter too. Taking it easy as they are new but in the rain earlier pulling away moderately swiftly at roundabouts was without any slip so looks promising.

Vredstein Ultrac Vorti’s get my vote. I’ll be getting them for as long as they make them. They aren’t as good in the wet as some competitors but they make up for it in the dry.

after many deliberations and constant changes of mind I've had some Michelin Pilot Super Sports fitted. What a difference to the OE Continentals. Just got back from 270mi hoon. At OE pressures they are more compliant and deliver much better grip. In fact, its quite difficult to get them to break traction and when they do they do progressively. Not cheap but I'm very happy.

Great choice!

I did exactly the same and was amazed also how much better the MPSS tyres were to the ContiSportcontact M3's.

Enjoy!
