You are showing me the "standard" m steering with black stitches. What I am selling here is the M steering with the M colour stitching from the Z4M. Huge difference.

well if anybody can help me out i think the m stitching is a aftermarket thing anyway so non standard
watch the vid yourself!!

Here's the one I sold a couple of months ago for reference - note it had aftermarket trims which let it down a bit:

Sorry but that’s incorrect mate.

The OP is right in that only the Z4M benefitted from the M tri-coloured stitching on the steering wheel. Non M cars in the Sport trim came with the same wheel; just with black stitching instead. SE trim cars came with a different wheel altogether.

Nevertheless he is having a laugh at £400.

I am not sure where you see 400?

Your initial price is comical.

...to my defence - the last z4m used steering wheel on zroadster forum went for over 400€ 6 weeks ago. I don't think I am ripping anyone off with my price here considering shipping across Europe from Austria costs me about 15-20 GBP and my trims are new...

Yes but I have reduced it with time. Not sure how that is relevant now.
The fact you reduced the price proves my very point.

Good luck with your sale.

hi yea thought i was doing the right thing thinking people wouldn't be interested about notigatiions!!
i have looked at other ones over the last couple of days and its all about condition and restoration costs!!
I've got one at £250 but needs new stitching
what would you lot pay???
cheers Si
obviously if its still for sale!!

aftermarket stitching will always look like aftermarket stitching. that is a fact. I have received the new M steering wheel and it just looks different to one that was restored. I always felt that the ones that were restored, people doing the work would put too much emphasis on the colored stitching making it look aftermarket. the colors of the original steering wheel are just very "discreet"... does not scream the M colors..

Have to disagree. Royal steering wheels look great 3F2042E1-E51D-4502-838C-2F3C1748B17D.jpeg

Though my trim lets mine down hence me asking.

Sorry but this looks like everything but OEM. I am trying to keep my car as OEM as possible and that is why an aftermarket solution is not an option. But luckily everyone is free to do what they like and want 🙂
