Well done - I completely missed that one !

Do let us know how you get on fitting SMG paddles to it. I have enquired about a few M wheels and been told that it wasn't possible to fit the paddles - but sure it is somehow.

I had decided to send mine to royalsteeringwheels for a padded retrim for similar effect - though would be without the car for 2 weeks minimum - tricky over the summer ! WIll probably still do this.

Fitted the steering wheel tonight.
Difference between SMG and M steering wheel are:
1. SMG has holes to bolt paddles to wheel as well as 4 lug holes to locate the paddles. M wheel has these marked but you have to drill them out.
2. SMG has different shape plastic behind buttons to allow paddles to fit.
3. SMG has rear cowl different shape to fit round paddles.

I swapped over rear cowl from my SMG wheel.
The rear plastic behind buttons can be cut back but as you can hardly see them I used the chrome ones off the SMG wheel.
Drilled out holes and fitted paddles.
All else is plug and play.

Well done - how easy was it removing your existing SMG wheel and the various connections - was your existing one multi function too ? (mine is)

Yes my SMG was multi function, very easy to remove, followed procedure in how to section.

Excellent - both look good - I guess you have gone with the black ? How do you like the M5 gearknob in the zed ? Did the old one simply pull off ?
Thanks for posting the pics.

as for M5 gear knob so much better, haven't wired it up yet to light up, the old one just pulls.

Was that the one on eBay? That looked in a very poor state as he'd tried to plastidip the buttons if so.

Price reflected that though, nearly stuck a bid in myself
