Z4M Startup issue

Hello,

I picked my Z4M up 3/4 weeks ago changing from a 3.0i Z which I had for 2 trouble free years. I have noticed over the last week or two that every now and then when I start the car it almost stalls for a spilt second before starting fine, other then this I have not noticed anything else up with it. I took it to BMW yesterday and they couldn't see anything wrong, no codes etc. Has anyone got any idea what it might be ? Something BMW wouldn't of checked in there great wisdom?

Hi,

Yeh I plan to I am just at work at the moment and as the car decided to almost stall this morning I decided to post this once I arrived. Once I get a chance and the weather is nice enough I plan on getting some pictures and posting them here and else where :)

Does it do it any time or only when cold? Mine used to do it when cold and from memory only during the colder months of the year. It would idle fine but the revs would would sometimes stumble as I tried to pull away and the car would stall.
Didn't get it sorted and wasn't much of a problem for me especially as I lived somewhere where once out of the small town never had to stop for miles, so never had a chance again to stall.Once warm it was fine too.
 
Seems to be worse when its first thing in the morning, doesn't seem to matter if the car was driven the day before or a few days before. But it is very random and I cant quite see a pattern to it yet. Once its idling I have no problem pulling away. I often get stuck in traffic within a min or two of driving thanks to the local school and it shows no sign of stalling there. I cant say if its only when its cold outside as we have not really had a warm morning yet (cant wait for it to be 20+ on the way to work again) so will have to wait to see if that effects it I guess.

Maybe I am just be paranoid as its new at the moment.
