I took my car for it's MOT having hardly used the car this year (it's been in my mother's garage on trickle charge).
I noticed that on a couple of occasion's the car wouldn't start on turning the ignition (all dash lights come on). Turn off and turn on again and it fires up on the button.
Something is obviously not right. I'm going to ask the garage to look into it but I wondered what the most likely cause is.
I'm thinking possibly the ignition switch or the transponder in the key. Will running the codes highlight the exact problem ?
