Are the Z4M side skirts different to the standard ones? Looking at pics and they do look slightly different, but not quite sure

Z4M side skirts are the same as standard. But the car does look good with the aero skirts fitted.

Aero ones stick out a bit more then standard...

Those look like the ones i saw on a Z4M. Aero ones it is :D

Are they only £20 a side from BMW? Or £200 a side

Insurance killed that one for me. Cheap enough to buy the skirts though.

My insurance premium with Elephant increased by only £20 when I fitted aeroskirts (left pic in sig), about the same as the increase in premium for fitting CSLs :D

When I checked at the time, mine were going from £450 to over £900 if I added them with Churchill.

What for side skirts?

Why did you not just say cosmetic mods up to £1000, that's what I do

I've heard such things of Churchill. Even replacing one OEM wheel with another of the same size but different design would have cost my friend hundreds. He changed company and did it for free :P

Ive always told my insurance company about mods, and never been that bad. Although i dont tell them each time i do a mod, just in stages, as admin charges are about £40 a time!

Last car was a E46 330 and it was £370 FC and i added the following

Alloy wheels
suspension upgraded
sports bodykit (front, side skirts and rear bumper) or cosmetic mods
exhaust
remap
air filter, or induction kit

well and a few more, but by the end it went up to £420

By the way, if your going to mod your car and tell them, then go with a company that does not hate mods!

Which company are you insured with?
For me, insuring the ///M in London would be ridiculously expensive with any company other than the Admiral/Elephant group. Fortunately, they are pretty reasonable about mods.

Im with Adrian Flux and have been for years, but there are quite a few mod friendly insurance companies out there.

I am 29 with about 9 years NCB, no accidents or claims, and 3 points (SP50), and fairly low postcode.

And i was getting quotes from a lot of around £700-1000 for my 330, and thats with no mods! And for the M3 they were around £400 cheaper minimun really.

Hmmm... Adrian Flux went off me after I wrote off my first Westfield, but since that was seven years ago I might try them again at renewal time :)

Going back to your original question, the aeroskirts look fantastic, especially in lighter colours (they're a bit subtle on black cars), and they are fairly inexpensive. There are some good pictures of mine here: http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=20056&p=284627#p284627

Agreed, they look great. Think there was a group buy a while back for painted skirts for less then £400 if I remember well.

Try to get to the lower £300 price ...
