Z4M Roadster

Congrats Paul.

Just realised where it’s been detailed at. We did a few local authority wet rooms up that way years ago and always thought that was a class man cave of a garage when passing by

Car still for sale as potential buyer has decided not to view due to no garage available to keep car in
That is not a problem Paul has! :D

PVR = Plenty of Vehicle Rooms

Congrats :driving:

Yes, the si will be going. I can’t make it work with a wheel swap so will have to leave £1600 worth of CSL and Michelin PS5 on it.

Why can’t you swap the wheels? I thought ///M wheels on a non-M is a tested swap that works. Otherwise, can’t you buy some cheap wheels and tyres for your current Zed and keep the CSL wheels for the ///M?

Yes, the CSL would work on the M, but the M wheels with the tyres would not work on the si. That means either buying another set of wheels or change the M wheel tyres. Not sure I would want to store the M wheels as there would be no plans to sell the M if it is as good as it seems to be.

I have not 100% decided on that yet, so once I have the M here I will have a look how it is all going to work. Also, not sure about the CarPlay system as it would depend on a buyer for the si if they are prepared to pay the full price I paid for it just over a month or so ago, otherwise I will remove it and put it in the M. Same for the GapTech that has literally been used twice

I will have both cars garaged for a bit whist deciding

I think the M wheels might work on the Si. I'm sure I've seen at least one photo of an Si Coupe with 224s fitted.

As you'll have them both it must be worth a try!

That might be the key - I think I recall the ///M wheels fit the non-M only with different tyre sizes.
The easiest solution would be to buy appropriate non-M wheels and tyres for the si from the forum and keep both the ///M and CSL wheels for the new car (I’m sure you have sufficient storage in your many garages). Besides, hoarding wheels is fun - I have four sets of wheels for my Zed and two my Lotus!

Perhaps if your son is sharing the ///M, he can share the work of moving the car play and gap tech!

It’s not the wheels that are the problem, it’s the tyres. Remember the M runs a deeper profile.

They are different profiles, but the wheelarches are the same size on both models so it has to be worth a test fit at least. I don't get any rubbing issues with 255/45 tyres on the back of my MC, but they make the speedo accurate!

Excuse my skipping and only a minor search of PVR’s posts but does that mean the si will be for sale or does man maths allow for both that and the ///M?

Yep, the si will be going.

I still have to decide what to do with the £1600 CSL wheels / tyres, the £500 CarPlay installation on the oem screen as well as the Gaptech.

I hadn’t realised that the roadster came with a dickie seat :D

Congrats! Z&P is finally going to have a Z arrival over a Porsche

Are the CSLs real ones or reps, assuming real ones! Considering the relative low cost of the 224s and that selling it is easier with them... if that is ever the case I would just keep them. Its useful having a second set too if you need to have wheels refurbed etc

Ive got mine in the garage. Put them on in the later months of the year usually and keep the CSLs for show season so they dont get ruined.

TBH ive had all these goodies sat in the garage that I havent sorted. Aeros, extended leather... the battery is currently dead and a new one is sat in the boot. Must use it more...
