Z4M Roadster

Having had 2 Z4 2.0litre roadsters I am now looking to invest in a z4M. How important is milage. I have seen one car with 57K and the other with 10K less. Both look fantastic . does the higher mileage affect the long term value significantly?

one has had full repray (not crash damage) and it looks very clean as a result is this an issue when looking at future values?

cheers

Hi and welcome aboard, imo that mileage difference wouldn’t make that much difference, it’s Service history is more important, both those cars at that mileage should have had their Ins2 service, if you’re keen on them post up their service history and you’ll get advice on what’s what to help you decide I’m sure

Mileage is a big factor on pricing the M cars at the moment...Lower the miles, more money.
Immaculate history is also important.More money.
Some colours and colour combo's are more favourable and desirable...More money.
Better spec. More money.

I wouldnt want a car that has had a full repaint, there is no real reason why a car should need one, although front bumper repaint and even full front repaints are becoming more common now age and miles are creeping up.

I’d be questioning why a full respray was needed - did it live by the sea, take part in a riot, featured in a Bond movie, stolen recovered... as mine has lovely paint for an 11 year old car.

If you are willing to pay market price, there’s a fair degree of choice at the moment, so suggest be picky and go for one which drives nicely, the owner is forthcoming with lots of history of their ownership & open about any questions you have.

Good hunting

Thanks

one has a full BMW main dealer history the other a mix of M specialist and dealer Both the cars I am looking at have the inspec 2 done. both had running in service done too

full respray was done as the side was vandalised. was done by a reputable BMW approved repairer as on insurance

as far as colour it comes to Interlagos blue or silver

If your buying the car with an eye to keeping it's value. Then the mileage will make a difference in time. But only if you don"t drive it much. Personally I prefer to drive mine. :driving:
