Although I think you might struggle finding a low mileage on that has had the rod bearing shells replaced - they don't generally get done until the mileage is higher. (I got them done on my MC at 78K).

It's the ideal situation. Lowish. Like sub 70...ideally.

You never know, there may be one out there.

A local MR owner got his done at 50-something thousand miles and they looked pretty worn, but another MR owner waited until 110K and his were not as bad!

I bought my car on 76K knowing I'd need to get them done so budgeted for it in the price, which is probably your other option.

When the UK only got 614 MRs you probably need to be flexible!

Why are people so hung up over buying a car with the bearings done. Find the right car have them done it’s like £1000.

Been on this forum for 11 years and seen 3 Z4Ms go on bearings 2 of them track cars.

I'm considering selling, 2006 (06) BMW Z4M Roadster in Grey. The car has covered just over 79k and has MOT until Sep 2024, it has recently had a Service inspection II the Shocks and discs we're replaced during lockdown.

Prior to my ownership ( think it was 2016 )
Please note, the car is a recorded Category D, which required a new passenger wishbone, wing and door to make be put back on the road again. The damage was very very light and restored using BMW sourced parts, by the previous owner.

Whats your budget and what do you consider "low ish mileage"?

I have an Interlagos Blue ZMR on 68k miles, bearings & vanos rebuild were done in 2020 by EverythingM3's in 2020

Does have some modifications like Eibach lowering springs, strut brace, CDV delete & currently on CSL reps. But have the original alloys still.
OEM rear springs are prone to snapped on Z4's, mine snapped hence replaced with stronger lowering springs.

Extended factory leather (rare option), sat nav, heated seats, electric folding mirrors

Considering selling.... but obviously all depends how much you're looking to spend
