Your next mod perhaps

Hhhmm :? certainly cheaper than Aeroskirts , H&Rs , custom backboxes or Eventuri that are all on my wish list :o

this is why these cars end up with so many owners, new owner gets the car lavishes it with expensive, spends a fortune and then sells up after a few months.... never understood that tbh....

Yep, my 2006 car has changed hands on average every 1.8 years.

I was discussing doing this to ours yesterday. I am going to replace the grills with all black but wanted to do the tri colours before fitting. Do the grills just pop out?

That car also looks amazing for the money.

Yep they pop out quite easily with a old credit card or thin pallet knife , retaining clips at the top to gently push in then they pull forward from the top & lift off bottom , , , or mine did when i rattle canned them a few weeks back

Low miles - 70k is low miles???

To be fair there's a fair bit of blurb i would remove from the ad if it were mine , including the mileage ref :?
Not sure mentioning removing all the carpets is a good selling point either but he has spent some cash & the car isn't crazily expensive for whats being offered imo

When you work out an average of 12k miles per years as the OLD average then yes it is low miles.... if yours has 40 or 50k then thats VERY low miles... any less and its EXTREMELY low miles. I hope thats a fair comment.

Hello all, it is MY CAR.... I love it to bits and as you know have thrown time, effort and money galore at it to get it to where it is now however I have been offered the opportunity to purchase a very special and rare vehicle so I have to at least see if its a go-er.... hence my only reason for the sale.

The car is beyond doubt a genuine one. I welcome any inspection and as for the person worried about the miles..... I am sure that a speedo showing 69501 that has been lavished with over-serviceing is far from a worry on a straight 6 BMW.....

Thanks all.... perhaps it wont go, I really am not concerned if not.... I am letting fate take control of this one.

NOTE: For those enquiring about the grill mod... its quite easy to do in situ. I think I put a thread on it here, not sure. However I heated the grill with a hairdrier, as also the tape. I also cut with a surgical scalpel to get it accurate and sharp. An easy cheap mod that if you dont like the way it turns out you can easily just unpeel :)
