Manchester to Somerset isn’t that far. Worth travelling for - Lynchy went from Dartford to Edinburgh for his M, and I am sure others have gone farther. This one looks to be really keenly priced, like his was.

Number of previous owners? How long have you owned the car? specific servicing with millage and dates, any extra work carried out (vanos, engine bearings, engine mounts?)

As it reads to me, it's long over due a Service 1, and potentially a Service 2 for peace of mind..

I see you have included much more detail in your original posting. And too me it sounds like a much loved garage queen, that needs a little work!

The car is in good condition etc just needs some bits doing.
I do seem to recall a shim sheet. I'll have a look tonight. It was all done at reddish in Bristol who know these engine inside out hence why I took it to them

Gosh thats a cheap well looked after car -surely wont hang around for long at that price
