z4m roadster pulling to the left

hi guys, I've not long had my z4m roadster but I've noticed that if I let go of the steering wheel that it pulls to the left - reasonably significantly

am I right in the thinking the most likely prognosis is balance and tracking? or could it be something more serious related to the suspension or wheel alignment?

all help would be very much appreciated chaps.
 
Sounds like tracking

Wheel alignment = tracking

If you get it done its worth going somewhere that has a machine that's does all 4 wheels. The machine is a hunter

I seem to recall that ///M's do tend to pull to the left for some reason. It's documented on here somewhere.

I thought I had read this too & mine does pull to the left aswell!
 
Yeah mine pulls ever so slightly to the left. Has been discussed before. No alignment issues.

But can't think why it would be meant to be like that.
Dealers reckon it's normal for the Ms
 
havent got run flats. just normal tyres. thanks for the input though chaps - very much appreciated.

sam1832 - thank you for the info on the hunter machine. i've found a couple of places relatively locally who use it

but really interesting to hear that it's quite common amongst the M's. I wonder why that is. either way - makes me feel a lot better.
 
It didn't do that when I had it but I suspect those rear tyres are very worn by Nov 12 - change them quick if you haven't already!
 
A few weeks ago I went to test drive a 3.oi coupe (not M) and noticed a definite tendency to wander to the left. I pointed this out to the sales guy sitting alongside me who said ' they all do that - it's a safety feature - if you fall asleep at the wheel the call will automatically head for the gutter and not oncoming traffic' :(

My 3.0si pulls to the left before and after a full hunter alignment just got use to it now, never hear its a safety feature before :?

I suppose a wheel refurb is cheaper than a head on collision though! :o
