Z4M roadster problem with steering wheel juddering

it took some fighting but I did get the entire £1300 paid for after their first offer of contributing half towards it
but now with the steering rack problem. Not sure how much more time and effort I am willing to throw at this lemon. The approved used check I've experienced is worthless.

Thanks for all your advice guys. I've just sent a nice email to the dealer principle asking for a refund.

Nice one - keep the pressure up and don't be cowed. They will be clear about their legal obligations, so don't feel embarrassed about reminding them of the six-month thing. Good luck!

been offered an exchange and they are going to try and find me a replacement..

theres only approx 3 available on bmw auc which are similar spec, age, mileage etc...

failing that tell them you want a free warranty extension etc etc.

Something somewhere dont seem right with this though...whos the dealer?

i'd rather not disclose who the dealer is in case i get in to trouble.

Do you guys think I should reject the car and get my money back? I doubt they will find a similar car anytime soon.. and then what happens when the replacement turns up and it has various other things wrong with it... At least currently my current z4m r has had some new front brake discs and pads.. but what worries me is how on earth has it got like this in the first place never mind being sold in this condition.. possible shunt/crash? (it is hpi clear) Maybe I'd be better getting it inspected independantly and then decide on what the current state the car is in..

I do feel which ever way i decide to go I am going to lose out as my part exchange has gone and theres no way I can buy a similar vehicle to what they gave me on the trade price..

And if I get a refund then I'll have no car until I find a replacement, and I use it for work daily : (

Can't seem to win either way..

damn fella, that's not cool.

just to try and keep positive, I've done 40k in mine and not really had any reliability issues, you're right it needs fixing and I'd be interested in the history. Can you get the dealer to give you a print out of all repair work done in it's life? this might give you an indication of any "incidents".

Never ever had juddering on mine, yes it tramlines, madly so when the tyres are worn, but never a judder here.

If you persist, you might get something better out of this than someone that didnt have any problems, in the long run.

Good luck.
