I bought this car from a member of the forum in January last year, and it has been absolutely fantastic. I thoroughly recommend buying a car through the forum, and I sold my previous 3.0i Z4 to a happy forum member last year. My pandemic-related work means that I haven't been able to get out and enjoy the Z4M as much as I had hoped, but it has seen some glorious sunny trips around Somerset, Dorset and Cornwall in my ownership (hence racking up 700 very happy miles in the space of the last month!). Due to working from home now, and my girlfriend moving in with me, now is the time to sell both of my cars and replace them with one car that does the job of both (an Audi TTS). I will miss this car, and sincerely hope to be able to own another when space and circumstances allow.

General spec
OEM carbon leather interior
The all-important black leather Z4M electric heated memory seats including original, unused medical kit under passenger seat
Sat nav with updated disc
Cruise control
10 speaker DSP sound system with factory CD changer
Relocated roof motor (roof works every time, and can be operated from the key fob)
Recently refurbished original wheels, almost unmarked
Toyo Proxes T1R tyres (loads of tread left)
Xenon headlights
OEM wind deflector
Rear parking sensors
Working cup holders! :D

Only modifications to speak of
H&R lowering springs (very subtle reduction in ride height)
Aftermarket bluetooth hands free/media kit installed beneath centre console
Gruppe M carbon induction kit currently fitted and shown in pics, but I will be removing this and selling separately. Edited 15.5.21 10:30 am: Gruppe M intake now removed, sold and paid for.

The only changes I have made during my ownership are as follows:
Replaced the "M" kick plates/sill trims as the original items were slightly marked
Replaced the three "M" badges on the wings and boot lid as the original items were slightly faded
Installed thicker rear spring pads (Genuine BMW) as widely recommended after fitting H&R springs to a Z4M, to even out the ride height

I would describe the body condition honestly as "very good/excellent" for the age and mileage, with some expected age-related marks. I am a bona fide car enthusiast as well as a keen amateur detailer to boot. This means I treat the car with mechanical sympathy, only ever wash it after using snow foam, and always use two buckets, a deep pile wash mitt and good quality cleaning products. The previous owner and I both kept the car garaged. A full machine polish by the previous owner, twinned with a recent silicone coating means that water beads of beautifully, and dirt pretty much falls off with the pressure washer. Everything on the car works as it should, and at this price for a fully-functional Z4M in good condition, with replaced rod bearings and clutch ready for another 100,000 miles of motoring, I expect that the first person to see it and drive it will be the happy next owner.

The following selection of pics were taken today after a wash:

Car bought by previous owner (forum member and former RAF mechanic) in Aug 2018 @ 98,000 miles, who performed his own oil changes every 5,000 miles.
Replacement rod bearings at 100,501 miles (preventative maintenance recommended by some for the S54 engine), July 2018, Autobahn Servicing Ltd. This of course included an oil service.
Valve clearances checked at 100,598 miles, July 2018, Autobahn Servicing Ltd.

The on-board computer is requesting its oil service in 125 miles, but I will perform that task myself at 112,900 miles so that the new owner can drive away safe in the knowledge that the oil is fresh. EDIT: Oil change now complete (14.05.21, 112,911 miles). I will provide pics as proof of the oil service, plus the receipt for the 10W-60 Castrol Edge Titanium Supercar oil and Mahle OX187D OEM oil filter and sump plug washer. I myself am a qualified mechanical engineer and have built and maintained cars for over twenty years.

Recent age-related maintenance carried out by the previous owner
New clutch
New battery Feb 2019
New radiator July 2018
New brake pads all round in last 2 years
Replacement gearbox mounts and Vibra Technics engine mounts
Replacement top mounts
Replacement diff output seals Sept 2019, including new diff oil and gearbox oil
Brake fluid service and new front hoses Sept 2019

I consider this to be about the bare minimum of information required by someone who is interested in becoming the next owner, so please feel free to contact me if you have any questions that I haven't given answers to above :)

Some more pics (including the half-full tank of fuel that some lucky person will drive away with!). Please note that the Gruppe M intake has now sold, and I have refitted the original Z4M intake:

Thanks for that :) I'm secretly hoping someone off the forum will buy it so that I might be able to buy it back in a year or two!

A shame that you are selling James.

But that looks like a great buy for someone - GLWTS.

Thanks buddy. I'm seeing this as a temporary spell without a Z4MR, which makes the pill a little easier to swallow :)

That is lovely. I wish I could still drive manuals. GLWS.
I'm sorry to hear that you can't :( Thank you for the kind comment - a little lad walked by while I was cleaning the car today and made a similar remark :)

Nice hot Bank Holiday weekend to look forward to this weekend. Who's going to treat themselves to a summer of roof-down fun in this beauty?
