After three Z4's, it's finally time to say goodbye to the Z4 world.

For sale is my 2006 BMW Z4m roadster. It's been my weekend car, but a change of circumstance (being made redundant) forces sale.

It's in fantastic condition throughout, needing nothing at all. I've maintained the car at a very high level, righting every small niggle, with a stack of receipts and paperwork.

Key details:
- Roughly 70,500 miles
- CAT D - damage to the front nearside wing. All fully repaired to BMW standard
- 2 keys
- Silvergrey with black roof
- Located in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire or Guildford, Surrey
- Price: £10,000 (not including private plate, which may be purchased extra)

Factory options:
- Cruise control
- Sat nav
- 10 speaker DSP system (highest level of audio)
- Black leather interior
- Carbon leather trim
- Wind deflector
- Parking sensors

As well as the usual M spec:
- Heated, electric M seats with memory function
- Multifunction M steering wheel
- Rain sensor
- Automatic xenon headlights

Aftermarket extras:
- 19" CSL rep wheels (new in 2018 and are unmarked)
- Sports exhaust
- Colour coded rear aero spoiler
- LED interior & boot lights
- Bluetooth music streaming
- Aux in port

Service history:
The service booklet was lost by a previous owner, but the most recent previous owner spent a lot of time tracking down the service history, which has almost always been BMW serviced. Therefore, the history is in the replacement service book, but not stamped. This can be verified at a BMW dealership.
The next service is an oil service (due in 1,500 miles), which I will complete with BMW prior to vehicle sale.
An Inspection 2 (valve clearances, engine oil, diff & transmission oil, plugs and air filter) was completed in August 2017 and I have done an interim oil change in September 2018.

The last MOT (Feb 2019) only flagged the rear tyres, so they are brand new. The fronts have lots of life left. Tyres are Vredestein Ultrac Vortis all around

Please feel free to contact me via a PM or by phone: 07718 135 971
Thanks,
Tim

Really sorry to hear about your circumstances :(

However that is a LOT of car for very little money so I’m betting it doesn’t hang around - good luck !

I'll be very sad to finally end my Z4 saga, I've had a few for many years and made many friends. Who knows, maybe I'll get another Z4 later! :P

Thanks!

Have I underpriced this? :?

The CAT D regrettably affects its value, irrespective of how well repaired, especially as insurers will either value it far less or not insure it at all.

That said, there’s not much around for £10k with 340ponies, hence 👍 for a great car for someone

Cat D and no service history. Will undoubtedly affect the price. Looks nice though.

At £10k those issues have already affected it  remove those factors that's a £12500/£13500 car . 25% is more than acceptable to compensate .
Looks a great way into ZM ownership at fair miles & decent spec too :) best of luck Tim , shame you are leaving us :(

Tempting, purchase $20000, Shipping and insurance etc $5000, GST and compliance $4000 lets say $30000 NZ Dollars in total, still a bit of a risk considering the distance and not being able to view. Mmmm

If ur that interested could always get a cheap eco flight via Sing, think they can be had for between £500-700 notes...

Time it for a weekend when there’s a local hoon & ride shotgun...

Pay in cash & drive away to the docks... or have the shells done then shipped... or just have a short break & look at all the others 4sale... then pick one of those.

Considering they’re all now +10 year old cars & not out of a showroom, anyone you’ll buy will need money somewhere thrown at it... & at £10k others you’ll be viewing at that price point will be ropey, least this has had some TLC

I also took a punt on a Cat D M with limited service history...

Paid off for me, looks good from the outside and mechanically nothing to report in the first year and a half of ownership. Ever since being duped into unknowingly buying a Cat D car years ago, and being smitten with the condition and the price I paid, with no issues or signs of damage, I've always considered Cat D's to be potentially great bargains.

Do you know the previous owner got hold of the past history? And what form does it come in?

GLWTS

Me too, I would definitely buy another cat D without hesitation. Didn't affect insurance or anything at all.

As stated in the original post, it does have full service history. It's been traced back through BMW. I have a full log in the service book, but it's simply missing the stamps.
I will also get the oil service done at Warwick BMW prior to sale too, which will be a stamp in the book. As well as this, I carry out interim services, which I also log

Sorry to hear your bad news, Tim. But it looks like you've had some great adventures with your car!

Hopefully things will work out alright and you'll be back.

Thanks :) yes, I've had some fantastic road trips with my zeds over the years, seen some beautiful places and driven some of the best roads. Z4m roadster is perfect for them, roof down, glorious sunshine, singing exhaust. Awesome 8)
