Hello everyone....just took the plunge and im now a proud owner of a z4m roadster.

That engine omg what a rush its insane.....beasted it in 2nd and 3rd and sure i got about 100mph in 3rd but was scared to look :)

On trip back from London managed 28mpg so thats ok.

Sat Nav went wonky though after destination set it kept thinking i was in Hereford...hmm and asked me to keep doing uturns on the m6.

I also think the cruise control is cream crackered, as when i pressed the stalk nothing happened.

Phone call required tomorrow to sellers as hopefully all covered by warranty.

Apart from that the car is awesome....im not really a poser, 1 bought the car for the engine s54...didnt want a e46 m3 cos all the chavs have them now. Not reall gone top down yet except for the test run. Will try tomorrow as the suns shining. :D

Regarding the cruise pushing it forward sets the speed and increases the speed, pulling it back decreases the speed and up and down disengages it.

Thanks for the welcomes and advice on the cruise controls....ill check it out tomorrow properly before making the call to stealers.

Trying to get an update of pirate bay for the sat nav wi the tax collectors locations included....perhaps this will solve issues.

BTW those average speed cameras near Birmingham are a real problem when you have soo much power at hand :)

Dodgy copies will only make any current issues worse - that's a known fact on this forum

My advise would be to eject clean and load the disc again - this disc contains maps only. Then do a route again and see if it goes wrong. If it looks ok then see of its a time based issue by keeping the nav going for the same amount of time as you did for it to go wrong on your way up from London. If you can reproduce this makes your life easier for warranty.

A nav unit on a prior z of mine used to get stuck always at the same place in the country irrespective of time of day. BMW determined some piece of hardware was faulty and replaced under warranty (not head unit and not DVD drive)

Enjoy

Thx for the advice on the sat nav and the welcomes.

Phoned the stealers they said it may settle down in time and even try a different key as the data would be remapped to it....apparently.

Anyways here some pics of the beast.

Its still scaring me shitless especially whilst over taking under hard acceleration....seems to wobble when cutting out and in under full throttle.

Been enjoying the weather though top down...cant beat it its awesome. :)
