CHANGE OF PLANS!

I took this car off the market about 6 months a go purely because I didn't want to sell it. My new commute to work is putting miles on this car at a ferocious rate so it really has to go this time. I've re-used this ad because it has already got a lot of info about the car. The service history is in one of the posts below, the only difference is new rear tyres and another oil service.

If you have something small, sporty and frugal (Fiesta ST for example) then I'd be happy with a PX kind of deal.

the vx is lovely, the z4m is equally nice too...

if you fancy abit of pocket money, id happily buy the carbon wheel trims from you and do a trade with the stock items. Either way GLWS this is a beautiful example of a z4mr...

I've had a few nibbles but as yet no firm offers. If you are wanting it with super low miles I'd get in quick. I've put 500 miles on the car in the past 2 weeks and have more long trips planned in the near future. Sod doing long journeys in the VX220 while I've got the option of the zed!

Price drop £18,995.

I've had a few enquiries about the service history so it makes sense to update the thread with this information.

Running in check 1321 miles
Oil service 11042
Inspection 1 18728
Oil service 23606
inspection 2 28607
Oil service 32767
Inspection 1 43101

There is a supplementary service folder full of invoices, including a few oil changes carried out in between scheduled services.

Recent work includes:
O2 sensor
New OEM BMW supplied discs on the rear, the fronts were in good order so I had them skimmed. New high performance pads all round (this all cost £920).
Replaced the back box exhaust clamps.
Replaced the chain tensioner crush washer (it was weeping).
Replaced the third brake light
Replaced rear coil springs
Replaced the mesh in the wind deflector as it was looking a bit tatty.
Replaced the diff pinion seal and changed the fluid (carried out by a specialist)
Battery and starter motor replaced

I'm sure I've forgotten loads but hopefully this gives you a flavour of how well this car has been maintained. Buy it, turn the key and enjoy many years of trouble free motoring.

I managed to get some feedback about the car, it would seem people were put off by the advisories on the last MOT and the fact that there was only 5 months left on it. The advisories were all fairly minor things that were comprehensively dealt with months a go (I have garage invoices to back it all up). This in mind I've put 12 months mot on the car, no advisories at all.

I've also dropped the price to £16,995. I think this is a really good price considering the incredible condition of the car so get in there quick!

Don’t know if you sold the car but your AT ad is no longer active
Thanks for letting me know, the link had gone dead for some reason. I've refreshed it with a new one.

Hello Pete - lovely VX, and best colour too (I have a Red Elise S2). I am PM'ing you ref the car right now.

Simon.

Edit - OK, I dont seem to be able to find a PM function, perhaps as I've just signed up... do you have an email you could send over?

Once you’ve made 3 posts you can dm

If you want to dm just post twice more here & away you go

A single word on each post would do

It might help, to include the service dates.

How bizarre, only today I was looking at the vx 220 non turbo...I spoke to a guy who had owned one and then he had a z, I was getting a bit of info ....at the end of the conversation I had no doubt it would be a zed I would be going for again
