Z4M Remap.....The mind boggles....

Hi Guys,

I am here again wondering if I should map my Z4M Coupe with 62k miles / FSH.....been running on V power fuel and with the gruppeM intake and BCS mufflers fitted was thinking of this as my next mod.

So much debate its all a bit boggling......I have a local Quantum ECU service centre. Are they any good? I know I wont get the 365 bhp they are quoting but are they reliable? worth the upgrade?

I live in Milton Keynes and don't want to drive loads of miles for this.

Cheers Stu

Had mine done at Evolve, after I had Schrick cams and Eventuri fitted by my indy. V happy with the result. Just shy of 360bhp on the dyno, and it was a very muggy day which was not helping the ecu with the fueling.

Cheers for the recommendation Phil.....are the Schrick cams worth the upgrade? How much are these fitted? Perhaps I would be better going with those rather than a remap :D

Not cheap. My cams were worn, so I needed to replace them and the followers. The Schricks CSL spec, were a bit cheaper than OEM and more punchy in the top end, so a good deal in comparison. Can't remember exact pricing but the cams are around £1,300, the followers I think £500. The labour is the most expensive bit (Around £1,200). Then you need the tune to make it all work best (£500). So I would guess £3,500.

The results are great, but its a very expensive way to get a small bhp gain. If my cams had not needed replacing I would have gone for Eventuri & map all day long.
