A pair of rear trailing arms suitable for the Z4M only (these are different to E46 M3). These have been fully disassembled and then fully rebuilt by myself using OEM spec components. Following work has been carried out:
1. Disassembly - remove both upper and lower ball joints, Side bush, wheel hub, bearing, speed sensor, hand brake shoes, brake hose bracket, hand brake cable, cable guide clips.
2. Professionally media blasted and then powder coated, ensuring mating surfaces are covered.
3. Assembly - ball joints (FAG or Mayle HD) , bearing (FAG which is OEM), Side bush (powerflex polybush or Mayle HD/lemforder), refit wheel hub, refit BMW speed sensor with new hardware, replace cable clips with BMW clips, replace/refit handbrake shoes, brand handbrake cable, refit toe bracket with new hardware and torque to spec (110nm).
4.Test fit OEM disc brake to ensure wheel hub clearance is sufficient.
As you can see there's a lot of work involved and most garages I approached when I was restoring my E46 M3 didn't want to get involved or were simply asking silly money given the labour and expertise involved (labour costs for stripping and rebuilding ranged from £450 to £600, excluding powder coating).
Anway, I've done a hand full of E46 m3 sets recently and have decided to offer this service on the forum now that I have a set of Z4M trailing arms. In terms of cost, based on the components above, I'm asking for £750 for both refurbished trailing arms, on a exchange basis i.e. I'll take your old trailing arms in exchange.
