Z4M questions

Hi guys, was just checking out how much insurance would cost me for a Z4M convertible (in dream world) and its the same price as a 3.0 apparently for me but with a £450 more excess :)

So... my main concerns are running costs! I hear alot of people saying that the running costs are alot more than the normal 3.0. Is this true? and what type of costs are people meaning?
Are the services more for example?
I can see that the mpg go down alot more on the Z4m.
What other costs are there involved.

Cheers guys

The service intervals are the same, and the MPG is about 25% worse.

The big pain comes when you want to get anything done at a BMW dealership, where anything ///M related seems to attract a 50-100% 'tax'.

If you're keeping it outside the dealer network, then it will still cost a bit more as the inspections are a bit more involved (i.e. longer) than on an non-M, so will of course cost more.

The main 4 things as I see it are:

1) Insurance (you've sorted that)
2) Fuel / MPG
3) Servicing
4) Tax - don't forget an extra £200 a year to tax it.
