I had to do a lot of chasing around before buying mine as something didn't add up on the service history. All present and correct now with print offs to prove, but confirmed that at Insp1 and 2, BMW main dealers mine had been into did not check shims. Nor did they do gearbox or diff oil. Yet more proof that main dealer service history really does mean jack all when out of warranty. It took a lot of arguing and threatening press contact to get the car back and checked in, with an oil service FOC. Thankfully all was fine.
