An insurance company is paying out when the car has suffered a mechanical failure?

Also if you've correctly named all the modifications on the insurance policy, can you really remove them?

The insurance company see no value in the modifications to increase the figure I will receive back.

I presume the remaining unsold modifications left with the car? I have family in Risborough and I would have taken the seats, wheels and diff if I still lived in the UK.
