Z4M Jumpy Acceleration

Good info, although not something to do for the faint hearted I would imagine! (Chance of bricking the DME springs to mind!)
How would you go about getting BMW to do this without having them spend loads of time diagnosing an issue first?

Pay them and tell them you want the DME software updated to the latest version on your car.

I would imagine they should be able to do it for the price of an hours labour.
 
I thought id read on another thread that they won't do it unless they've specifically diagnosed an issue...or is that dealership dependant maybe....

If they are having to do it under warranty, they need to have a reason. If you are paying for it, they wont care.

Well, on mine it sorted the cold running issues.

I have an Intravee so am able to monitor the coolant temperature.

With the old DME software, my car would kangaroo and stutter when accelerating. Was fine once the coolant temperature passed 50 degrees. Passengers would comment on it so it was pretty bad.

General driveability is improved with the newer DME software also.
