For sale are my superb Intrax 1k2 coilovers which i have had fitted to my Z4M Coupe for the past 7K miles or so. I had them fitted by Simpson motorsport and were £2600 new. See below what Simpson has to say about them on their website

I will get some pictures up here later to show the condition of them.

"Intrax dampers are the most sophisticated suspenion you can fit to your BMW. This is in a completely different league to Bilstein, KW, Koni etc. The performance is comparable to Moton and Ohlins, and in our opinion is better than both. This kit has been specially designed by us in conjunction with Intrax to provide a simple, easy-to-use damper setup that will provide comfortable driving on the road, with fantastic performance on track. The damper bodies are made from INOX and Titanium with road seals that ensure the UK winter driving. The front struts feature adjustable camber/castor plates which allow correct setup of front camber in particular. Spring rates supplied as standard are 100Kg/cm front and 50Kg/cm rear which makes for a car that is actually nicer on the road than standard but in a different league on the track."

I really wanted £1500 for these but have decided to drop the price to £1200!! That's less than 50% of what they would cost new. I think that is a very fair price hence i won't be accepting silly offers on them.

I can negotiate postage if you need or if you'd like to collect them then i am based around Milton Keynes.

jesus!!!! do i go with these or the brakes!!!!! helllppppp!!!!! wow your z4m was a seriously sorted machine! can ou tell me how the carm rode, handled with these on?? was the ride as harsh as stock or more compliant?

PM'd Beedub

hello their matey i did speak to you about these, just a quick question, you mentioned i need spacers to fit to my z4m, is this correct or have i read that wrong and maybe you meant the brakes needed the spacers to fit, then again some of these coil over kits move components and need spacers to keep the track right, also do these make any noises during operation? the kw kit i was after has unfortunatly fellan thru.

Hi,

I only ever used these with the AP Racing brakes and with that setup I did need the 10mm spacers at the front to stop the inside of the wheel / tyre catching the springs. I think the main reason for that was that i was running the fronts with quite a lot of camber. If they were set up with less camber then it's possible that they wouldn't foul as they literally just caught before i put the spacers on.

I am not sure if running stock brakes instead of the AP's would make any difference and mean that the spacers would not required.

There was no noise during operation, they were silent.

ok ill contact simpsons and ask, i dont see why these should cause me to run spacers so im assuming it the camber that causes that.

What was the handling like compared to stock, was it much harsher?

Turn in was absolutely instant and DSC definately intervened significantly less frequently over rough road surfaces at high speed as you can dial in the damping to suit that. Overall the ride was firmer than stock but only really noticably around town. On motorway journey's or A roads it was firm but handling benefits made it more than worth it.

LOL @ all the Z4///M owners getting their wanking socks out over this
Im sure they are great pieces of kit mind

We need it to keep up with you :P

Don't forget that the ///M is an inch higher off the ground than the non-///M, so you've probably got an aerodynamic advantage.
