I have just put my induction kit on ebay, it is a k and n e46 induction kit for an m3 but fits the z4m. I'm looking for £150, it really makes a difference.

This is the only pic i've got of it.

And as for the laughing 17bhp man, it is an official k and n stat look it up.

I take it this will give the full intake sound anyway? That's all I'd be expecting and still worth the money! How easy are these to install if you don't mind me asking?

Seriously I'd like to see the rolling road that shows the kit will make any extra BHP never mind 17. That takes the car to an alledged 360BHP which conincidently is the same as the CSL. Look how much time, effort and money it took the experts at M division to extract an extra 17 ponies out of the same engine. In summary taken from wiki:

The 3.2l engine used in the M3, the BMW S54, has been modified to increased output by 17 hp (13 kW) and 5 N·m (1 lbf) over the European M3. This is achieved through a high flow carbon fiber air intake, modified valve and camshaft timing, and a retuned DME. However, the engine is further modified in order to reduce weight - it features a lightweight exhaust manifold and thinner exhaust piping. Additionally, the intake and exhaust manifolds are slightly straightened to improve engine responsiveness.

Now why bother doing this if they could have just stuck some £300 K&N jobbie on it. It is a fact, regardless of what K&N say that an induction kit alone will give you no extra power. It might make a slightly better noise but it may also trigger your EML as well.

Have a look here a see the real costs of extracting small amounts of extra power out of the S54 engine. http://www.thorneymotorsport.co.uk/tuning/E46_M3_Power.shtml

OK no problem. I know its not a very good way to get yourself known when I have only just joined but I have been stiffed by tuner claims a number of times in the past and its something I feel very strongly about. Good luck with the sale OP.

Cheers
