As per the title really - having recently got one and not seeing many at all since (well, one actually :D ) I wondered how many were imported into the UK ...

An ex BMW salesman I know reckoned they only brought in a max of 200 each year they were made .... don't know how accurate this is though ....

Anyone any ideas :)

578 Z4M Coupes according to BMW UK. I am not sure on Roadsters though, think I heard 1200 ish? Someone else will confirm.

Really should use the search mate

I did thanks ... .... but what I put in came up with nothing .... thus the post.

I tried 'how many Z4m's' which results in no threads .... but thanks for the link.

I've put an FOI request in with the DVLA last week to find the following details of the currently registered Z4M cars on the road in the UK at present. As these are the cars on the road it should exclude all those that have been parked up trees ect...

I have asked for if they are Roadsters or Coupes, colour and date of first registration.

I'll post as soon as I have the information and publish it on here. Should at least be definitive to how many cars are on the road in the UK, colour choice and oldest and newest.

Thanks - will be interesting to see ... if they can retrieve the data easily .... with their efficiency though I won't hold my breath :D

By law they have to provide the data within 20 days, unless they can prove it will cost more than £600 to retreive (2.5 days @25ph). Quite sad I know this really, I need to get out more.

I knew they could get away without doing it if they could show it was too costly .... I never knew there was an amount .... :D

It would be interesting to know how many of each type and colour there were in the UK. Some colour/interior combos are so rare they are virtually unique. If the figures Mikedav is quoting are correct, then these are rare cars, I very rarely see one driving around Merseyside, think I've seen three in three years.

I've never seen more than 2 Z4M's, the one i have, and the one I used to have!

Love that its not common.

It does seem to be quite regional. I tend to see 1-2 Z4MCs a week and a lot more 3.0 Coupes

I've seen my twin parked up in south Liverpool, but I've not seen another one being driven in Liverpool. Although I didn't see any e34 M5s either when I had one of them.

I don't know of any round where I live...which makes me want one (more)! Only know of a few coupes tbh.
