Z4M has some competition

I think I prefer the interior of the ///M too :P

Which engine is in the R8? I've been up against one on the motorway, and there was really no difference in performance at the speeds possible on an empty M4.

its the 4.2 v8. looking at videos i think they might be head to head. RS4 is 100kg heavier

Fab photos, just a hobby or are you a professional?

To everyone else, look how nice that Z4 dash looks without the Sat Nav. Purity at its best. :poke:

It's just a hobby. Thanks!

Fantastic pictures!!, you must be an expert with Photoshop? or what software do you use to adjust the colours? They all look very good

However both lovely cars, the CSL wheels are the best I've seen done. Have already decided on that colour CSL wheels for my next car. Good to see another Z4M enthusiast

Superb pictures
Z4 over the R8, no chance, :D
R8 all day long, miles higher quality interior, faster, mid engined, newer design.

If we are talking R8 money there are a lot more exotic cars in that bracket, the R8 blends in too much. Like I said too clinical, IMHO it does not epitomise the 'supercar' and at that money it should. I would have a Lambo any day over one, just more exotic. No offence to the OP of corse the car is still very nice, just not my cup of tea. I would take your Zd  infact I am taking a lot of inspiration from you with mine :D

The interior is hardly higher quality most of the components come from the rest of the audi range, so does its engine. Nothing new there. (unless you have the v10)

yeah I know...

i drove a gallardo, and i have to say i wouyld take any r8 over it. the looks may not be as "hardcore" or dramatic, but the ride in the r8 is 5 times better. gallardo felt cheap. maybe the LP is another story.

i love my dads r8, but after driving in it for a day or so, i cant wait and get back in my razor sharp M coupe. also, the r8 is much cheaper than a gallardo. if you are comapring to a galladro you might as well up the bar to a audi R8 GT

The Gallardo is almost twice as much as the R8 and uses lots of bits from the VAG parts bin too. I might be the only one here that thinks it, but I would have the R8 over the Zed in a heartbeat, in fact I would have the R8 over practically anything else in that price band, except maybe an Aston or the new 911

As to the OP, great photos

astons are nice. i drove one back to a customers house after a detail and was impressed. not a fan of the sequential transmission it had, but it did throw me back into my seat at shifts, no matter what rpm i was shifting it at.

in the price range of the r8, i would hands down take a 911 gt3. thats probably what i will purchase as my next car anyways...but never getting rid of the zed

Sorry I thought the Gallardo's were around the £120k region and the R8 v10 is around there too?

There just not special enough! I would have the Aston too  or def the new 911. The R8 is a great car but doesn't have the x factor.

When me and dad looked at a Gallardo the one we looked at was a 57 plate had 20k on it and was 69k (6 months ago), it was quite disappointing interior wise as it was very tacky. But the car was beautiful and that engine and noise is prolific!

Got a 911 CS instead, cheaper to look after.

Sorry about these pics they are off my iPhone

A Gallardo - or actually probably the Aventador now - evokes feelings (to me) similar to my desire for a Z. I just want one. Always have, always will.
