I think we need to keep this thread going, if its moved changed or deleted it will probably cause more problems than it solves.

A few have asked why the answer is it Increases the sound this is a personal taste it was a little bit too noisy for me all of the time, and insurance wise it was a mod and an in your face one if you open the bonnet so my choice was to return to standard and this has now been achieved thanks to Tom. There is probably a performance gain but I may have grown out of that having owned a road legal race race speed up Westfield, maybe it is my age....

So My GruppeM air inlet is now for sale As a price is required I will put £600 or near offer. As that is what I said originally at the start of the thread.

If James28 can confirm he has passed on this due to me getting a second hand air box as apposed to a swop.

So Woolybear appears to be second inline can he confirm he interest

And AaronMc appears to be third inline can he confirm he interest

To be fair to the above I will wait a few days for those to get in touch before selling to anyone else.



Here are all the pictures I have of it both on and off the car. (some here and some at the beginning of the thread as 10 is the max) You will get what you see in the picture of the unit off the car I don't think you will need anything other than a few tools and a tywrap or two to fit it. There is a slight rub mark in the rubber around the carbon scoop where the pipe has rubbed a little as seen in the picture.

I sent you a PM earlier asking about the mileage/cleaning, just thought I'd reply with an offer here for transparency/forum rules.

Would you take £550 for it? I'm in Lincolnshire so getting to Cleethorpes to collect shouldn't be too much of an issue.

I'd just want to make sure I can get at least a good chunk of my money back if I come to sell it further down the line, man maths makes more sense when talking about a bit of carbon and banjo clips then :D

As long as the Mods (Marlon) is happy I will be happy with £550

So you know I am now in Manchester as is the inlet filter unit and I am working in Macclesfield all week and I go on call Friday for a week so not allowed any further than and hour from work for the response time.

If you are happy to wait until the weekend of 29th 30th of June I will be in Cleethorpes that weekend and I will fit it with you if you so wish.

Or there is always the postman.
Did you get the PM reply about cleaning etc and was it ok.

I’m near Stortford, so happy to let you listen to mine. Tbh though I’d buy with 100% confidence...simply the best mod for the M. Genuinely wouldn’t own one without this.

Angelus looks like I missed out on this one but I’ll have a twirl in yours if you don’t mind I live in a place called Pledgdon green just at the back of the airport so Henham/ Broxted so I’ll pop over one evening or wot ever suits,I’ll be out in my M later today can’t wait

First time fitting took me 45mins & i am mechanically illiterate :oops: id expect someone more proficient to swap these over in 25mins , its not overly complicated though the instructions+pics appear to have been put together by someone who has never actually fitted one :P

Cool, there's a great little drive to Thaxted from near you, so happy to meet up for a blast over that one evening over the next couple of weeks and you can get a listen and see whether it's right for you. I'll PM you the dates I'm around later on.
 
Yeah that sounds good ,that road goes right past my lane after the Henham turn off,I’ve done it in Seven minutes in my old Saab but wasn’t trying really hard I keep meaning to give it a go in my Datsun 260 Z to see if I can get under six mins,I’ve hit on a baking hot day staying on my side of the road sticky tyres 126 mph and braked between elsenham and my lane,could do better maybe with more modern brake system
 
Angelus when are we going out to play ? Got a wedding at Blake hall golf club today I’m letting the missus drive so I can have a beer cos I’m thoughtful in that respect but I’m around playing with me toys tomorrow
