I'm thinking of getting a z4m front bumper, is it a straight forward swap on a 2004 3.0i ??

Cheers

No you also need a different lower undertray. the original undertray is not long enough so there will be a gap between the new bumper and the stock undertray
And of course all the plastic inserts: brake ducts (where now on the car your foglights sit)/grill mesh.
The bottom left and right covers (that basically cover up the area between the wheel arch trim and the bumper, underneath the car) are also different for the normal z4 and z4m (different part number), but I dont know if they have to be changed or can be fitted/adapted.

Mmmm not straight forward then. Mine need paint and was just going through the options of changing it.
Might have to think again.
Cheers GuidoK

Isn't very straight forward, I would say it cost me close to £800 for all the parts, spraying and fitting.

I changed mine. No problem. Although I did fabricate several parts from scratch myself.
Including the cost of bumper+respray+the parts to fabricate bits I spent nowhere near £800 probably around half that if I'm honest.
The look alone is worth the expenditure.
Good for it. You know you want to... :poke:

How did you negotiate the undertray? I have the bumper(needs a spray) and lower main grill. Want to get it sorted soon but that's the stumbling block before I she'll out for the brake ducts and paint

Cheers

Just made some tabs up for now and bolted them up. I have a piece of material I bought to fit in as a filler piece but haven't got round to fitting it yet. I'll see if I can find a link to the stuff I got and post up later. :thumbsup:7

This is the stuff I am going to use.... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ALUMINIUM-COMPOSITE-PANEL-600mm-x-400mm-x-3mm-x-1-piece-/360406823963...I used it to fab up my fang protectors/flippers.
