Z4M CSL's with spacers.

To the untrained eye it looks like your rears are sticking out about the same as mine (CSLs) without spacers.

thats about right... the rear CSL will sit near flush with the fender, its the fronts that are slightly sunken, but its Really minimal.

I have had to order some 12mm spacer ( Max recomendation from Simpsons) for my OE CSL Alloys to fit over the AP brakes. I have only fitted to the front as the rears are okay.

Makes a good visual differance although was doing for a purpose.
Well worth the £85.
Will post a picture over the next few days.

Only just managed to fit but here are a few pictures?

Very pleased with the quality and look as was unsure about spacers but due to AP's it was needed!

Hello there Beedub,

I am a regular track day user and must say that there is no fade at all, and having raced Lotus Exiges before I am the typical late brake,r and you certainly can leave untill the last min?
I have however only done the one track day with the AP's and as much as 3k can make you choke! def worth every penny. Just need a supercharger now??

Are you doing any track days soon , as would love to compare,

Regards,

excellent you enjoy her as intended...... also like mine, your car looks like new!! its so great to pamper these things like crazy but actually use them on the track....... Trackdays for me? lastyear i did around 4-5, this year im hoping to get close to 10. im mostly on curborough as i like to sprint my car as theirs no other vehicles on the track other than you @ any given time, i would like to get on a vmax day @ brunter and also a proper silverstone trackday, supercharger on track is insane, you can hold out a slide as long a your nerve takes you, or just obiterate the straights. i need your brakes..... but im spending another 2k on nitrons this week so that'll have to wait.

I will look forward to the report on the Nitrons??
And will try to meet at one of your track days soon as would love to grad a passenger run?

cheers api... no worried someone answered for me..... guess ill post some pics with 12mm up front on a 8.5" rim

i have 19" EVO E46 on my Z4MR, 8*19 et 47 on front - 9.5*19 et 27 rear

have adjust front et with h&r spacers - 10 mm- for et 37 front

when i turn maximum on the right, thats touch a little (right wheel only),

other people?

ive just fitted 12mm up front on my csls, so thats gives me et 32... very flush with fender but more importantly no rubbing at all, interestingly i did some like for like measurements, when we install CSLs on our cars even though the rim is now 8.5" compared to stock 95% of that width goes towards to suspension, no pushing the rim outwards, so adding a 12mm spacer pushed the rim out, gave some much needed suspension clearance and also gave me the space i needed for my 6 pots.

it does look very nice indeed and now the added front track has made a noticable difference to the stance on the front.

bear in mind guys 10mm spacers and under are NOT recommened... anything under 12mm is not a proper hubcentric on BMW fitment.

advice from the specialists = A note about 10mm spacers: Any 10mm spacer is considered a custom fitment. The stock hubcentric lip on BMWs can stick out by as much as 11mm. This leaves a gap between the spacer and the hub which seriously compromises safety. We recommend using a larger spacer (12mm and larger do not have this issue) or check that the lip sticks out less than 10mm.

With the right design, you can put 10mm hub-centric spacers on most 5-bolt BMW hubs, with careful design, possibly down to even 8mm:

.
The spacer needs to have a tapered bore, as opposed to a stepped bore that most spacers have. Wheels have a chamfer on the inside bore, so the spacer can have a shoulder to fit in that chamfer. Here is a 10mm set from zeckhausen:

12mm eibach spacers. Wheel sits flush with arches, looks awesome, no rubbing on full compression and/or full lock, i had to have spacers for my bbk, not something im keen on but it looks great, its added some real meat to the stance.

Thanks all for your infos.

I've just received my CSL replica : 8,5x19 ET37 for front and 9,5x19 ET27 for rear which I want to fit with 225x40R19 and 255x35R19.
I'm also about to purchase an AP-Racing BBK (6 pots 356x32mm for front and 4 pots 325x20mm for rear) so it seems I'll need to put spacers on the front (so 12mm at least). Do you think I will have rubbing issue with that setup ?

Exocet....i have the full ap bbk front n rear, the fronts require et32, et32 is litterally flush with the arch, anything under et30 will be sticking out past the archline , to get your aps to fit all you need is a 5mm spacer :-)

Thanks for the infos ! So with 5mm spacers, I'd be at the limit...
AFAIK the camber is not ajustable on the Z4M ? Maybe I'll try to get camber plates, I should get more clearance by adding negative camber. And that would also be a plus to prevent understeer on track use...
