Z4M CSL's with spacers.

My only concern was reducing the amount of hub mounting that was supporting the wheel, therefore putting more stress on the bolts. This is all just thoughts, no mechanical knowledge to back it up.

I have had to order some 12mm spacer ( Max recomendation from Simpsons) for my OE CSL Alloys to fit over the AP brakes. I have only fitted to the front as the rears are okay.

Makes a good visual differance although was doing for a purpose.
Well worth the £85.
Will post a picture over the next few days.

Make sure you do as this is what I'm planning too.

Ah nice one Jamie, AP's are a bit down my list but would love a set at some point. Look forward to seeing the pics.

interesting...... i think 10mm should be optimum maybe... looking forward to pics, bet it looks nice on the front pushed right out though!!

lee zee, i cant see on his mod list the spacers listed...... interesting to not also he has the zcp 8" front wheel instead of the CSL's 8.5" wheel, i wonder of the 12mm spacer has much difference between the two with the different widths.

I see what you mean now Hark, sorry I'm a bit slow on the uptake. The centre's support the wheel in the way the hub does. I'll try and find a 5mm that does the same if I can, although I'm sure the wheel would still be on the hub at that size, just 5mm less I guess.

Velocity Motorcars 12mm Spacers (used on front wheels)

Your right about the wheels though, I'm not sure if the offsets are different between 8 and the 8.5 and how it would work out.

A 1/2" of coarse is 12.7mm.

i did alittle phoning around on this and apparently you HAVE to have a 12mm to get the full hubcentric centre... anythink less isnt hubcentric due to the physical spacer size vs the orginally hub lip......... so basically if you want a spacer i think the 12mm is the only way...... i cant find a company that does a 12mm spacer, but the closest i can find is 12.5 at turner motorsport.

defo in for pics from jamesecker (sp) ..... advice us where you got your 12mm spacers from and pics pics pics please and the question... is there any rubbing, anywhere under full lock or full compression?

if i was going to hook these up id go with

http://www.turnermotorsport.com/html/detail.asp?PRODUCT_ID=TWH9905013

these are 12.5mm.

just as a side not i spoke simpson today and they advised me they do a narrow version of the 6pot AP cailper thats fits without the need for spacers.

I guess I'll have to live with you having an extra 1mm of track.

and it'll probably be that extra 1mm that will cause rubbing on my inner arch liners, lol!!

Is it ok to have spacers on the front but leave the rear as is? What are the issues with doing this.
