On way on home from work and suddenly my car has gone all laggy :( . When I put my foot down their is no power almost like your waiting for a turbo to spool up before power kicks in when it does kick in its feels very under powered and rough. I have no warning lights at all.

The problem appears worse when in sport mode. I called BMW Emergency Service, and they were sending a 'technician', however they called back saying the technician in my area has gone home. Thank you BMW.

Has anyone experienced any similar issues???

I had the same thing after running the car for a month or so with faulty O2 sensors. Until 2-3k the power appeared to be greatly decreased and the whole time the engine ran very rough and stuttered constantly. When i changed the sensors a week later the car ran just fine. I did get the amber Check Engine light though.

Hope it gets sorted soon mate.

Suffered something similar recently, in that the car was flat spotting between 3k and 4k, like the VANOS wasn't kicking in properly. It was booked in for a service anyway so I asked them to look into it, even though no light was on. They quickly diagnosed as a fault with the coil pack on cylinder 5, which was leading to a misfire. New coil pack and spark plug fitted under warranty.

Thank god for the buying through the AUC - must be knocking on £1k of warranty work what with the replaced O2 sensor, two rear springs and this. All aprt of their charm though :wink:

Thank you for the info. Its booked into Barons BMW tomorrow for an MOT so am leaving it there for them to look at Monday/Tuesday. Yes greatfull for the AUC Warranty too, got my moneys worth out of that.

New battery and new sat nav screen (due to a rattle lol) and now this little lot...

AUC Warranty is about to expire so about to extend it this weekend for another year, well worth the £835.00 in my opinion.

Cheers again I shall mention that to BMW as they sometime need some guidance haha :D .

Hopefully back to full BHP and driving pleasure soon :driving: .
