Has anyone tried putting a couple of cycles on the back or roof - how would I do this without damaging the paintwork. The wife wants to take the off road bikes to Norfolk which from Leics is a fair run .I hope we can also get a case and a big cool bag and a box of food in the boot as well. The z4m coupe has to be a 'practical' car or its never going to get much use like my previous sports car - v8 450 wedge.

Seen a thread on this recently... Will have a dig

Bing , I can't open your link , which area is it on the forum ? Its the wife's idea by the way , I'm a bit horrified at the thought of going to Norfolk with bikes on the back as its not ideal for overtaking tintops in the way ! Just noticed your from Maidstone , we were there last July on hols , visited WLA garage which used to sell Tvr's and still services them , in fact my seac came from there originally so had to find it.

Look in the e85/86 discussion section, search for 'bike rack'. Weird it doesn't work :?

Found it ! Very long topic , good to see folks not giving up till they've found a rack that works. So it looks possible , don't fancy a hitch , seems slightly ott for such a car. Will go into local bike shop and see what they've got excluding hitch type. Thanks for that info ! Still looking for the right z4mc , very few choices !
