Two years after selling my 3.0si coupe I have always kept a close eye out for the right spec/price z4m coupe. Whilst on holiday in Italy one popped up in the perfect spec and it was super cheap. Its having spent the last 11 to 12 years in Scotland next to the sea you can imagine it was a tad bit rusty
. I called my brother in the uk and told him to get the deal sorted (he’s a shark ). The car had great service history, it had been very well looked after mechanically and just given to his wife to drive daily. Few months on it’s been to Redish motorsport for rod bearing and and inspection 2 service. A very good friend of mine help me strip the car and and start the process of a mini restoration. The plan is to get it to a good standard and I plan to use the car year round
. I’ve lived the process so for and just wanted to share this with other enthusiast! Body and inner arches are done, new bc coilovers and new discs and pads all round. I have all new bolts, drive shafts, arms, refreshed subframe and trail arms ready to go on, the pan is to strip the under neath whilst everything is off and make it look as clean as on top. So if a few weeks we plan on doing a little flow up video and as he has a red z3m in stock for sale maybe a comparison video for fun! Hears a few photos of the journey so far!
