It wasn't there when the advert was first posted. I don't think the location is obvious, either, although you can make a guess based on where some of the work was done.

Edit: I see the advert was updated

Is this a bridge too far?

Yes , lovely car that isn't in question but a private sale , no prep , no warranty its a heavy ask especially so with Ti not classed as the most desirable of M colours ( i say that with some honesty as i've had a Ti coupe & absolutely love the colour & the way it showed off the design & lines )
Just my own thoughts but i think the whole Z market peaked some months back ( 20i 35is , Si Se or ///M) demand is waning for anything that isn't priced realistically .

You’ll need to remove the gear knob and aero skirts as it never left the factory with them on.

This is a "FOR SALE" thread, not a "what do you think of my car/ asking price?" thread.
Leave the man alone. He is trying to sell his car and these comments are not helpful IMHO.
If it's too expensive he won't sell it. Simple. I'd like someone to point me to a cheaper/better one (on the face of the advert), with 13 BMW service stamps and with the mileage?

You are treading old ground , its not Ebay or PH , if you don't want comment don't list it on here .
It cuts both ways , this is a dedicated forum for enthusiasts , if something was too cheap it gets said too .

But Mr Wilks do you not see that your comments, when looking at your profile as a serial owner of Z4s and being a "legend", could influence potential buyers who are visiting the forum purely to look for an exemplary car, which this MC seems to be?
I spout a lot of sh*t on this forum, admittedly, but even I draw the line at undermining people trying to legitimately sell their cars.

BTW the car in the ad you linked doesn't have a full BMW history, which can be very important to some for provenance IMO

Just for the record, I don't want to buy this car therefore couldn't really care less how much it is!

Any potential buyer of a 13/14 year old Z4 with an asking price north of £25k really needs to do their homework. I honestly doubt that comments from mr Wilks (or anyone else) will impact the sale, or lack of, one way or another.

There are many sale threads were mr Wilks (and others) have given the opinion that a car is under priced, so I personally take the comments in perspective and as ‘giving direction’.

The car is not in a sought after colour for an M, (although I personally love the coupe in silver) and so 13 service stamps and low mileage doesn’t mean it’s at the top of the pile price wise IMHO.

Also, how many owners has the car had? Unless I’m miss reading the add (quite possible!) it talks about 3 years ownership and a previous owner - so is that 2 owners, or were there more before?

I’m not sure I’d class the car as exemplary from the evidence provided in the listing, the under bonnet and boot photo’s spring to mind here.

This may be a fabulous car, but it’s impossible to tell from the photo’s.... and this is true of any car.

In addition, the registration has been obscured, so it’s impossible to have a look at the MOT history- again, might be great, but might not.

The TTS I picked up a few weeks ago looked good in the photo’s, it has a full Audi main dealer service history, and is mechanically superb... BUT, it needs some minor cosmetic bodywork AND it was very cheap for a TTS. The point I’m making here is that’s it’s impossible to know how good or otherwise a car is without evaluating it in person.

Other cars may look fabulous in the photo’s, but may have numerous mechanical issues.

Sorry if I sound stupid but what does MY mean in the vehicle description?

Apologies in advance

It means Model Year. Its a device to try and demonstrate that a car is 'newer' than its registration.

Sometimes that can be significant but on an E86 I can't think of anything other than possibly the jack input on the sound system?

Happy to be shown as wrong though!

True-blue is right when he says you can’t really see a car in it’s true colours by looking at piccies but the truth is a lot of people looking won’t get up off their butts and go and see it in the flesh unless it’s in the next street so be prepared for people asking for pictures,

ISO seat fix, Aux and twin tuner on the stereo (for traffix updates) was about it from memory. Age of Z4///M cars is largely irrelevant as they were only made for 2 years really.

OK, got it. A bit like W.H.Y back in the day (What Have You i.e. swap) :D

Congratulations on tracking that down Paul.

It must be good to find it has been cherished by another forum member already.
