It looks superb.

But 7.5 years since an inspection 2

Why is that a issue ? :?

It’s not. It’s only done 30k miles since the Insp 2, you’d normally expect 48k between two major services right ? The major part of an inspection is the valve clearances, which change with use (mileage) and should have been done at the Insp 1 anyway. My car was 7 years old when I bought it and had barely had its first Insp 1, but it had been maintained with oil changes etc which is all it needed every 2 years. The last oil service should really have been a year sooner, but it’s barely moved, relatively speaking, and appears to have been well serviced otherwise. If anything the Insp 2 was a bit late, but it was only a year or so since the previous service. No major issues with that history as far as I can see.

Indeed my thoughts too , technically a Ins2 should(or could ( fall every 8yrs if the miles didn't trip the need first .
You can pick holes in almost any cars history , taken as a 12 yr old used vehicle with 80k+ miles covered id say it reads pretty well

You've just said technically the insp2 should fall every 8 years if the miles didn't trip the need first. It's been 7.5 years...

I didn't say it was an issue, but "technically" it's due.

Depends how pedantic you want to be over how the service regime should be adhered to , "technically" following oil - ins1-oil-ins2-oil yes 8yrs but reality is mileage covered often extends those dates considerably so no i wouldn't say it was due based on how the history & miles stand as of now .
You indicated "but 7.5years since ins2 " as if that was a negative ?
Has its only covered 26k since previous ins2 & only 5k since ins1 no real urgency imo , but others (including yourself) may disagree :?

Lovely looking example that should make for a relatively easy purchase decision for anyone looking for a Z4MC - at the end of the day it’s simple economics and this type of opportunity will only reduce as time progresses GLWTS

Thanks to all those who have made positive comments on my lovely car, much appreciated :)

Price now reduced to £15,950

MODS - this is going off topic a bit here, so please move (or delete) this 'discussion' to another thread if required.

Technically/pedantically, or whateverly...

The only stipulation I've ever seen (online or in service schedules) is that an OIL SERVICE (and brake fluid) should be carried out at a max of 2 years - and that's only because both of those fluids degrade with time as well as use.

Can anyone show me where it says Inspections are time-based as well?

Bargain of a car right here...! Sit tight, it’ll be sold at that price soon.
Definitely.

I wouldn't let mine go for that, and it's got a few more miles :|
