Z4m coupe kidney grill color

Have a Interlagos Blue Z4M Coupe with silver kidney grills, meaning the vertical bars not the edging.

I read that all M's came with black grills. Anyone know this to be true ?

Would mean mine is a replacement so a bummer :|

Others look a bit more black, but that may be the lighting in my pic. Others also don't look thát black, so am a bit in doubt :

Silver grills as standard on the M.

I never understood why 3.0Sis had the silver/grey slats when every other model had black. :?

I've swapped mine for chrome surrounds and gloss black slats and they look so much better.

Annoying part is they're pretty pricey, like 60,- x2.

Grey ones actually more expensive than black ones on pelicanparts.

Aren't the OEM ones on the M's and the non 3.0l matt black with chrome surrounds though? I was under the impression that gloss black with chrome surrounds wasn't generally available. Even aftermarket I struggled to find them. Most people just spray their OEM ones gloss black.

yeah, I think oem is matt black

I got lucky with my black Z4 grilles as someone advertised them on the here.

They're actually a shade over that inc VAT. Very easy to fit though and brand new ones set the front end off with new shiny chrome surrounds
