Z4M Coupe - Black Sapphire, Black Leather - 56k Miles - FBMWSH

Hi,

With my first child on the way, the time has finally come to sell my beloved Z4M coupe. I've had it for over 7 years and it has been an absolute joy to own and drive.

It is, in my opinion, the best colour combo of sapphire black, with black leather and carbon effect trim.

It has been really well looked after, with full BMW service history, including running in check at 1k miles and the big dog, Inspection II, at 42k miles. Just back from the garage today, where it had Inspection I.

It has done 56,284 miles, at the time of writing, and has an MOT until November.

Comes fully loaded, with sat nav, bluetooth, heated memory seats, folding mirrors, etc.

Externally the alloys could do with refurbishing, but otherwise is in decent nick. It is not, however, in showroom condition, so you will have to spend a bit on paintwork to get rid of the standard wear and tear e.g. stone chips, etc. if you want to get it to that level.

I'm looking for around the £20k mark, but will listen to offers.

Let me know if you'd like to give it a good home.

Tom

Wow... this won’t be around long!

Is there a reason for the 5 year gap in the history?

GLWTS 👍🏻

The gap was just due to the low mileage. As you can see, I only did 10k over that time, so didn't take it in until the mileage indicator told me to.

I only had the service done this time, as it needed the air-con regassing, so was going in anyway, and I thought it might help the sale.

The gap was actually 4 and half years in which the car did 10,000 miles.

Which works out roughly at just over 2,000 miles per annum.

There was no need to point that out on the op’s thread. It’s not as if you’re interested in purchasing his car.

Lovely car, shame the insurance for me would be £3k per annum.

Good luck with the sale buddy

Why not ask the question if advertised with a full BMW service history ?

Regardless of miles the car should have an oil service every 2 years. 2 years or 15.5k miles.

15.5k miles is based on using 2275 litres of fuel between services, Which ends up at around 12,000 miles. 15.5k is a bit optimistic. It also depends on whether those miles were short or long distances.

Directly from the service book

"Determining the maintenance intervals according to the actual loads on the vehicle covers every kind of operating situation. Minimaluse-drivers – those who drive significantly fewer than 6,200 miles/10,000 km annually – should have the engine oil changed at least every 2 years regardless of what the service interval display indicates, since oil deteriorates over time, irrespective of use."

Worth knowing for potential buyers.

Regardless, its excellent value for money and looks a cracker.

I’m fully aware of that buddy (as are most people looking at these).

However I’m pretty sure that the OP’s engine is in good nick.

I’m also pretty sure that whoever buys this car won’t regret it either.

As I previously stated, there was no need to point that out unless you’re seriously interested in buying the car.

It was plain to see, so see no issue in asking the question why?

A guy paid me a deposit to mark it as sold, so he got first look when I came back from holiday. He was trying to bargain me down too much on price, so it fell through and is back on the market.

As you know im looking might be a bit soon ideally after my hols and the summer but fabulours car... Where are you located

Depends how much he was trying to "bargain you down " :? if he bid you anywhere near £18k i would have taken it .
By your own admission you have declared the alloys need a refurb & money needs spending on paintwork to bring it up to a decent standard .
Factor in the length between service visits & in your own words " i only had it serviced now as it needed air con regassing & thought it might help the sale "
Might just be me but it gives a bad vibe of how its been looked after .
Not looking to spoil your sale but you aren't doing yourself any favours

Lovely car with nice miles.
Dare I ask.... Is the Carbon trim coming away from the the base dash? Seems to be large bubbles rising from the base layer from the image shown. May be just the angle of the camera though.

Cheers

I’m new to this, so possibly need to be a bit less honest in my ad.

The paintwork is only needed if you want to bring it up to showroom spec - MunichLegends sort of level. To the average owner like me, it’s already at a decent standard and looks great IMO.

No, the trim is securely fastened. Think it was just the weird light, coupled with using a phone, rather than a proper camera. I’ll take another picture and post in a minute.

Its a tough marketplace so any weak points will be exploited by any canny buyer , £20k for a 56k car sounds palatable if presented in tiptop order with little to fault , you could spend £500 / £750 getting it to that but a buyer may tot it up to much more & prefer to go away & buy one that may be more expensive or higher miles but perceived as not going to cost any money :?
Used car buying / selling will always be snakes + ladders & ///M cars only emphasizes this

No that's fine and cleared up with your answer. Cheers.

Post updated with slightly better interior pics. As Mr Wilks points out, I need to up my game in this tough market.

Comments bump the op's ad on this page, so works out best for him. Also posting an ad on a public forum which helps buyers/owners/sellers you will have faults picked out by others that use the forum, helping interested buyers not get shafted
